I arrived at the 1600 Delta Waters location on Saturday, April 24th at approximately 10:00 a.m. After attempting contact the general office a number of times without anyone coming to the phone I have chosen to write about my dissatisfaction. I was there to get antibiotics for Bronchitis which I have ad about twenty times in my life. I was required to take a Covid test which came back negative. I was sent back to my vehicle to fill out paperwork for my admission and waiting for the swab test. I fill out all information with the exception for the general information page of which I wrote, I was just here two months ago and no information has changed. The person showed up to take the swab and after reviewing the for , said you have to fill out the form completely. When I asked why she said our system has changed. She returned to the office. A couple of minutes later Ashley Glass approached my vehicle and stated abruptly the I must fill out ever item on that pages, I asked did your system really change, She replied YES! I filled out the paperwork completely and after a while went into the office, Ashley was there and I asked when id you system change she replied in January. I asked her if her company trains her and the staff to lie by omission, of which she replied your welcome to leave. I have visited this location about two or there times per year. I am the manager of a mortgage company and time is precious to me. The only time I go there is if something happens over the weekend. I have my own primary doctor and excellent insurance. The last time I visited this location I had to have stitches from a home accident. I noticed small blood spatters on the counter ( assuming from a previous patient) while I waited in the room as well and an over abundance of dust on fixtures and the floors looked like they had not been moped or sterilized in some time.I will never return to Valley Immediate Care again...As another note, I have managed hundreds of employees in my past 31 years and when I arrive, the staffed looked very unhappy,. possibly under duress from whoever in the manager.

During the early afternoon of August 25, 2014, I began experiencing worsening tinnitus, blood pressure spikes up to 179/114, pulse up to 99, light and sound sensitivity, nausea, fever of 99.7F and headache. After trying 1000mg acetaminophen and water, my discomfort was increasing beyond a level of 8 (out of 10 being the worst possible) and I was mentally overloaded from managing my symptoms via meditation. Over the last year of being prescribed liquid methadone, I had managed to put a small amount aside in the event of an emergency. Because I had an appointment the following afternoon with a potential new pain management specialist, I did not want to test positive for anything so I began making phone calls to my assistants in efforts to source transportation to urgent care. I brought some of my remaining methadone and my medical history including MRI results with me. I had on the extreme sunglasses issued to me post my cataracts surgery and was wearing my TENS unit under my back brace while fully reclined in my reclining manual wheelchair. My assistant offered and picked me up from my residence in Eagle Point at 16:45. She drove and we arrived at Valley Immediate Care (VIC) located near Crater Lake Highway and Delta Waters; I checked in at 17:10. The receptionist stated that the wait time was estimated at 3.5 hours, but I would be triaged first. Following triage, the nurse took my vital signs and I asked to have a urine sample collected. She instructed me to return at 19:00. My assistant had come to help me straight after her normal work hours and asked to be relieved until I needed return transportation; I agreed and she departed, heading to her home.At 19:15, Dr. Mona McArdle called me into the more private area within the treatment room hallway. She stated that they do not treat chronic pain, to which I responded that I am not here for chronic pain, but rather for the headache and other symptoms described above. I had not experienced a migraine since approximately 2006 and I was surprised to have something similar now. I asked Dr. McArdle if VIC medical clinic's mission had changed, because ten years ago Dr. Maria Miller (one of the owners) had worked closely with my neurologist to cure my sixteen year history of migraine headaches.Dr. McArdle stated that Valley Immediate Care does not prescribe medications and only treats ailments such as colds, flu and performs x-ray examinations. She stated that my symptoms were beyond her capacity and suggested that I proceed to a local emergency room for treatment. I explained to her that all of the travel and ambulation to come to the VIC clinic and wait around had aggravated my back pain and asked if she could prescribe promethazine in combination with ketorolac. She tersely retorted, u201cNou201d and sent me on my way without bothering to examine me or review any of my medications or documentation. Nor would she call the E.R ahead of time.In my previous experiences with Dr. McArdle, she has never bothered to examine me. She has simply instructed me to seek medical care at a local emergency room and then proceeds to call both E.R.s and tell them that I am coming as a drug seeker. My assistant had returned to pick me up and I instructed her to telephone both local E.R.s to ascertain how long the estimated wait times were; both responded with 3.5 hours.Based on my experiences with Dr. McArdle, me going to the emergency room made little sense. They would likely require me to wait for many hours, decline to do anything more than examine me, send me on my way home and then bill me for their services. When other Valley Immediate Care providers have instructed me to go to a local emergency room for treatment, they have called ahead and I have received acceptable medical care from the emergency room(s).
