I recently visited this newer AFC Urgent Care in the neighborhood. They offer online appointment slots, but I walked in early on a Thursday morning with my son for a skin rash evaluation. I wanted to confirm it wasnu2019t contagious.nnSince the practice isnu2019t affiliated with any local hospital systems, I had to register as a new patient. The process was quick and straightforward. They accept Apple Pay and tap-to-pay options, but thereu2019s a 2.9% fee for using anything other than cash, which seems a bit outdated given how common card payments are.nnThe facility is clean, modern, and larger than I expected, with an X-ray room and multiple clinicians on staff. The medical assistant or nurse who brought us back was friendly and efficient. We were seen by a Physician Assistant who was highly experienced, kind, and very quick with the diagnosis, prescription, and discharge process.nnOverall, the service and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Iu2019ll be using this urgent care in the future.

This Urgent Care exceeded any expectations. I am from the West Coast and had to come out to Virginia Beach before I could have stitches removed from a minor surgery. I called to be sure that they could remove the stitches and the young lady in the reception assured me they could. I'm sorry, but I can't remembernher mame, but she was very helpful. The whole staff here from the front office, the nurse (who removed my stitches) and the PA were friendly and courteous. The experience really was handled so well and I don't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks AFC!

I took my 3 year old son here because he had a fever over the weekend. We were seen within 15 minutes. Sarah made my son feel comfortable and safe while taking vitals. Then we saw Shirley, NP, and she was phenomenal with my son. The only downsize is that I wish this urgent care could have ran a culture of my son's throat to see which Strep it was. The only thing Shirley said was that it tested negative for Strep A. Shirley prescribed some antibiotics and we went home.nAfter 2 days of antibiotics, I'm seeing a significant improvement in my son's illness! He's got energy again.nThank you for helping my son feel better! We will be definitely using this urgent care again!

The entire staff from the receptionist to the doctors are very kind and knowledgeable. You can tell they care and like their jobs. Wait Time is always extremely quick! This is the only urgent care I will go to now. They even give kids popsicles, THEY'RE SO NICE! I had the absolute best experience.

AFC Urgent Care provided great service and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was impressed with the efficiency and care I received. However, I strongly advise anyone visiting to carefully review their billing. I experienced issues with incorrect medical coding, which resulted in a significantly higher bill. While the care itself was excellent, the billing department needs improvement. Double-check your Explanation of Benefits!
