Honestly, the experience was incredibly unprofessional. They focused solely on depression and anxiety, which, yeah, might be part of it, but it's not the whole picture. Every time I brought up my anger or anything else, they just shut it down. The assessment was heavily skewed toward those two issues, and then they acted surprised that my depression and anxiety levels were high, and immediately jumped to medication recommendations. And the thing is, it's not even a diagnostic center! I'm clearly too complex for what they handle there. To top it off, they had the nerve to say my issues don't seem too crazy and are easily fixable. Seriously? I *know* they can be addressed, but the not too bad comment is infuriating. I'm obviously struggling more than they realize. It was a terrible experience, and I'm definitely asking my therapist to recommend a different, more professional place for a proper diagnosis u2013 one that will actually conduct thorough testing over time and provide real results. I had a whole list of symptoms I wanted to discuss, but it was clear they weren't interested in anything beyond pushing medication.
