This place takes for ever ! I donu2019t know if they short staffed or something i donu2019t know ! But didnu2019t see anyone wiping chairs or door handles down and see a lot of people coughing with no masks on or even coving their mouths and the bathroom were just dirty not clean often and the ladies that work here are rude, they need to explain things better to you and read the paper work you bring in , but instead they ask you questions like your the doctor that wrote the paper . Also they didnu2019t have many hand sanitizer stations just a few here and there. Or have some sanitizer wipe stations where people can wipe down their own chairs or walkers or wheel chair handles or canes! If you come here you need to be very patient. Itu2019s a long wait.

I usually go to NNMC a few times a year to see Dr. Allen or Dr. Cowan. The service is top notch. After a quick check-in, the nurse checks vitals and gets me into a room soon thereafter. The wait is usually around 10-15 minutes before the doctor arrives. When Dr. Allen or Dr. Cowan arrive they really take the time and listen to any and ALL concerns that I have (and believe me, I usually have many), and I never felt rushed. Additionally, there is Patricia, Dr, Allen's nurse, who is available to assist and answer questions when the doctor is not available; Patricia is truly an asset.

My Dad had a minor stroke and Northern Navajo Medical Center shipped my Dad to Utah without transportation back to Shiprock? If this is not red tape, I do not know what is.

Im so OVER THIS!! Trying to track down my referral to NM Orthopedic. The switchboard operator at NNMC is horrible!! Letting the phone ring, picking up & hanging up on people. Answering the phone with u201c HELLOOOO??!!u201d & u201c YES??!u201d instead of the professional greeting of a hospital. Who do I report this to? Im worried about our elders that depend on them for guidance. Where dk they find these people?!

My experiences with this facility have been some of the worst Iu2019ve encountered in terms of medical care. If given the choice between undergoing a dangerous procedure on my own or returning here for treatment, I would choose the former. Despite my complex medical history, including a non-cancerous tumor, I have repeatedly been treated as though my concerns were unfounded or exaggerated. This is not only dismissive but dangerous, especially given my familyu2019s medical history.nnIt is deeply concerning that this facility, which should be providing quality care, has instead been associated with numerous deaths in recent years, including within my own family. This level of negligence is unacceptable, and I believe the entire staff should be thoroughly evaluated, if not replaced. While I have experienced challenges at other medical centers, such as San Juan Regional Medical Center and the University of New Mexico Hospital, they at least took my conditions seriously. I expect better care and accountability from a facility that serves this community.
