My mother was having a heart attack. She is 88 years young and has dementia. The staff was very caring and so sweet. Iu2019ve been to few hospitals but this experience even though it was bad for my mom the staff was amazing throughout the whole process. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Someone gave her a stuffed pig and she just adores it.

I have the wonderful experience of having Nurse Johanna on the pulmonary floor provide care for me and she was beyond attentive and professional! She made sure my medications were prescribed properly with correct time and dosage, she stayed on top of my heart and blood pressure rates. She has wonderful bedside manner and she gave me such comfort and reassurance in a very nerve-wracking situation. Thank you Johanna for being a true professional and just a kind human being. If I could give her 10 stars I would! I would also like to give my Nurse Michelle Lambert her kudos as well! She has been so outgoing, attentive, and professional. She like, Johanna have kept me updated on my tests, medications, bloodwork, going that extra mile, etc. I would give her 10 stars as well.

The front desk lady was rude and accused us of being rude to her. Another person walked up to the window next to her and was rude as well. My wife had symptoms of mini stroke, luckily it wasn't that, and she was placed low priority. She had a migraine, that she had for almost a week, and wasn't given anything for it. We had to request someone from the back to come out so we could see why we weren't being seen, and he said no provider has taken my papers. When we finally did get taken back to a room after being told they were all full, their were numerous rooms empty. The nurse that took us to a room threw a gown on the bed and told her put this on. We asked why and she got an attitude saying thats what we do in the ER and ask if we were refusing. She then returned and had a man with her that stood their with his arms crossed while she ask, with an attitude, are you going to allow me to hook you up to the monitor or are you refusing that as well? Then a care provider came in and said they had the wrong patient in the wrong room and left to find his patient. We finally seen the right person and he was nice. This was over all the worse visit we have ever had and will go to Cabell Huntington Hospital ER from now on.

My 18 month old had an outpatient procedure at St. Maryu2019s and everyone there was so kind, helpful, explained everything to where we had a great understanding to what was going to happen and discharge instructions. Every nurse there was so nice to my toddler and tried their hardest to make her as comfortable as they could! We waited a really long time that day due to a new system change. That was difficult to deal with along with a cranky toddler who wanted to eat and drink but couldnu2019t but it happens. That didnu2019t interfere with the level of care my daughter received and I was most thankful for that!

I have been a nurse for 30 years and I have to say that I was so impressed with the care and treatment provided to my mother at this hospital. From the EMS ride to the ER and admission, she was treated with kindness and respect. Her ER nurse, Alisha and the ER physician (so sorry I forgot his name) were amazing and kept us informed every step of the way. I will be eternally grateful for their care and support during a very difficult time.
