It was a really bad experience. Office person said they had a 3pm appointment and then scheduled me for 2:40 instead. This wasn't apparent until the day of the appointment when I saw it in my portal. I had to leave work even earlier due to this, which I definitely wasn't happy about.Psychiatrist talked over me, made inappropriate comments (not sexual harassment or anything like that, but I can't go into detail because it involves personal diagnoses and things about me that I don't want to share here), and was dismissive. He was basically just dismissive and incredibly condescending.Even if he is an expert, I couldn't trust him to help me, and he's not someone I wanted to continue working with in my care.I didn't get the sense that he was really listening to me at all. He seemed skeptical about a diagnosis that I have actual paperwork for, and seemed to be trying to get me to say why I thought I had it. I don't think I should have had to explain myself for a condition just because I hadn't given him the paperwork for it yet. I didn't give it to him yet because I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep coming here in the first place. It was an all-around awful experience. I won't be back. I wish I could get my copay $ back even though I know that's not possible. If you have to go here, take someone into the room with you even if you're an adult. They can back you up or support you if the clinician is unkind or dismissive.I was on the fence about getting help anyway, but whatever I do, I won't be getting it from here.Edit: One thing I will actually give him credit for was that he did listen about anti depressants after I said they hadn't been effective. But, I couldn't get past the other things he said enough to really trust him, and I couldn't do an assessment with someone I can't trust.Edit 2: When I went downstairs to ask to be discharged, the receptionist was already on her way out even though it wasn't 5pm yet and that's supposedly when they close. Since she wasn't in her system anymore, I'm going to have to follow up with them to make sure they discharge me. :/Edit 3: They discharged me, at least. I decided to share more about what he was rude to me about. He said that he and the intake specialist didn't think that autism was a problem for me. I was diagnosed by a psychologist as an adult, and he was very dismissive about it even when I told him that records for the diagnosis existed. Also, the intake person saw me through a phone screen for an hour of my life and decides that I'm not autistic based on that when I already have a diagnosis? The people here have no idea what they are talking about if she really said that. He also made inappropriate comments about my weight and a chronic condition that I have and was patronizing to me about those things even when I told him that I am treating both of them with my doctor *that I trust*. You're a psychiatrist...stay in your lane and leave people alone about their weight unless they're specifically asking you for help about it. That wasn't what I was there to be treated for, he wasted my time, and was incredibly unprofessional and rude.

Edit: after a year here (lack of other options) they're still impossible to communicate with. They refuse to speak to me on the phone ever, but if another doctor of mine calls on my behalf, everything is sorted in minutes.Terrible already. Had to call multiple times before anyone answered. No response to any messages I left. I had to practically beg to be seen. I finally get an intake appointment, and start feeling better about the place. Then out of the blue they cancel the new patient appointment claiming he doesn't want to do one on Friday and move me to the end of the month. When I stated that I didn't have enough medication to last that long I was assured I'd be given a refill. I received a call an hour later saying that they won't refill my prescriptions until they've seen me in person (because the intake and having medical records doesn't count) even though it's their fault I'm not being seen. Find anywhere else if possible. Extremely unprofessional.

My daughter apparently went there once in Sept 2019 for an evaluation and never went again because she felt all they did was ask a bunch of questions. Insurance paid for most of the visit in Oct 2019, and then in April 2021 they finally sent a bill saying she owes less than $13. What kind of a medical office waits a year and a half to send a bill? One that doesn't have a very good accounting system and is unorganized at the very least. I expect them to write off this debt due to their lack of timely notification of any debt owed. I hope the doctors do a better job than their office staff.

To know me is to help me. They do ask a lot of questions, which is a good thing. Most patients just want to talk, talk, talk which doesn't answer the symptomatic question, only gets things off your chest. They need to ask very specific questions in order to get to why you feel the way you do. Most of us pile dirt on top of what is the actual problem and don't want to dig out the truth from under the insulation that we use to protect ourselves. Talking and listening is healing.Thank you Alba, you are patient and understanding. God bless you.

Had a referral to meet with Vicky Marks for an evaluation for my son who was struggling with attention span in school. The evaluation I was charged for lasted about 5 mins where Vicky asked if I thought my son had ADD or ADHD to which I replied no. She never spoke to my son during the few minutes we were with her. She then told me that she didn't think we needed to continue with the evaluation so I said thank you and left. Almost 3 years later I received a bill for over $350. After much arguing with the office as to whether or not insurance covered anything I contacted my insurance on my own and provided an EOB to the office. They magically then recognized that my bill was not $350 but instead $167.I still have not been given a straight answer as to what kind of evaluation I was charged for. Fortunately I have the means to pay this bill but I definitely would not recommend this office or this provider to anyone. Very disappointing and frustrating.
