I called Dr. Reis's office hoping to see her after I had a physical two weeks ago. I've been having an allergic reaction to something that I ate since Sunday (Monday was Memorial Day and I was out of town for the weekend). I've been on Benadryl for 4 days. They sent me to a place in Glastonbury and gave me the wrong appointment time over the phone. I called back today trying to get in to do blood work because I still have a rash and flair ups and I was told by the receptionist that the quickest they could see me was 9 am tomorrow after I was explaining to them that it was urgent. Tomorrow makes 5 days of my ongoing reaction. Urgent care next door wasn't helpful either.

When I was meeting with Dr. Nafees, I always left the office knowing exactly what she had ordered and what my next steps were. Since having to meet with an APRN, I do not feel that my needs were met, professionally or otherwise. I mentioned a what could be a serious symptom, and she didn't appear concerned. I am not even sure what kind of appointment it was. I heard it called a wellness check, a medication check, and another kind of check. I left the office rather confused as to what I was to do next, as the APRN was rather vague. Some of her notes on My Chart, conflicted to what i thought i heard during the visit. I am seriously thinking of going elsewhere, since Dr. Nafees is cutting down her hrs at that office.

No issues with the level of service. My issue is if you do not have a credit card to put on file with them no service. I do and I did . I have Atena medicare plane. I am not comfortable with companies having my credit card on file. I never had an outstanding bill balance with HHC that was not paid in a timely manner. I have received notices from health care companies / providers that my information had been compromised.nThat is why we need laws to prevent this.

I usually try very hard NOT to write negative reviews. Everyone has a bad day and we all have to work together to get through them or perhaps the person answering the phone is very busy.nI get these things happen.nUnfortunately, I believe something else is happening at this office. This is a problem with the culture. Leadership at this office is failing their patients, either because they donu2019t care or donu2019t know how to manage a medical business or they simply donu2019t have the ability to do so.nWhatever the case may be, the message the staff is getting at this office is that itu2019s simply not a priority to actually try to help their patients and thatu2019s ok.nThe patient is not a priority. This is a business that may as well be selling cars or widgets or whatever.nIt just so happens that theyu2019re selling medical services. Donu2019t expect much, thereu2019s nothing special here. I strongly discourage you from being a patient at this practice; boycott these people, they do not deserve your patronage.nOrganizations such as these need to understand that they need to be responsive to the people who keep their doors open.nI never like to speak negatively about a business, but thatu2019s all this is, itu2019s a business in it for the profit.

I had a visit two days, and I normally revive ok treatment here but I wasnu2019t feeling the best before this visit and I came in sweats and a tee and no makeup, I noticed the front desk wasnu2019t as patient, but as the next CPUu2019s timer walked in, they were perfectly nice with them. The nurse was ok not the best but when my Dr walked in, she wasnu2019t as nice as my pass few visit, which I understand, you couldu2019ve had a bad morning and she was pregnant and I can understand that. But I just felt rushed, I came in because I had problems and she was just there to film out a form basically, it didnu2019t feel like she was there to be a Dr. Like I had to stop her mid sentence to ask for help as she was basically dismissing herself.
