Absolutely fabulous the staff in ICU in the north tower Absolutely shined and made the most difficult decision ( mother on life support)of my life personal and heartfelt. They even shared a tear with me, so give them a break they have had a difficult day and, at the end, have your feelings first. They are not the medical robots we tend to think

I was very skeptical of having surgery here due to many low reviews I had read while researching this hospital. This is where my surgeon preforms so I took my chances and had my surgery in May 2025. From the moment I stepped into the hospital asking for directions to register to getting escorted to surgery prep to anesthesia to recovery room and a three nights stay, I could not have asked for a better experience!!!! The entire staff from clerical to maintenance to physicians and nursing deserve to be recognized for their professionalism, kindness, and knowledge!! I canu2019t thank them enough for disproving the reviews I had previously read. Kudos to Baptist Health in Lexington KY!! Thank you!!!u2665ufe0f

I was discharged from an IOP in Lexington and i had no place to go I have mental health issues and physical health issues. I went to my Hospital where my primary care Doctor is located and it was amazing I felt at home and welcome. I was helping people and helping with trash and clean up. I went to visit a friend and when i retuned later that day I was approached by security. They asked me who I was visiting and I gave them a patients name that i had met while I was there. I told them the truth that i had no where to go. What happened next has broken my heart and my spirit. They treated me so badly that I was ashamed...I felt so bad that i just wanted to die. they told me to get off of their property and never return. They told me that I was never allowed on any Baptist Health properties. I was in shock. I couldn't believe what i was hearing. I was so ashamed of myself for being homeless and having no where to go. I left and just wept for hours and hours. I'll never forget how they looked at me and how they spoke to me. There was no compassion or empathy in the way they treated me. Even now I feel trauma from the way they treated me. I don't understand how people feel safe going to a place like this. How did it come to this.

This is my second experience with Baptist Health in Lexington Kentucky. Both times have been absolutely terrible. Iu2019m talking specifically about bedside professionalism by nurses/doctors/clericals. There is zero professionalism or respect given to patients families. My aunts surgeon just verbally blamed her for making his job harder (his exact words) because I stated she needed Percocet instead of Norco, because Norco has proven to not work for her in the past. My mother was in the room and heard him say that now his job will be made harder because u201cshe didnu2019t speak up for herself and tell him sooner.u201d All she was focused on this morning was just getting to surgery. Sheu2019s an anxious person. Hence why I am here to make sure everything gets asked and answered. Not only did he respond this way, he interrupted me several times and refused to let me speak. I deal with this on a daily basis as I am a cardiac/neuro/trauma ICU nurse, and I can tell you 100% it is not ok for doctors to walk all over patients families when they are advocating for their loved ones. It was one simple request. It couldu2019ve been easily resolved with a response such as u201cthank you for letting me know. Iu2019ll be sure to change that order for her.u201d Instead, it was made into a big ordeal about how his job is now harder and putting blame on the patient. Unacceptable.

I had an at home sleep study at this hospital a while ago, and they were super helpful. I had an appointment to come get the equipment, and the doctor talking me through it was awesome she explained everything clearly and what the whole process would look like. The study did go well, BTW. Also, this hospital is also very nice looking as well it's one of the prettiest hospitals I've seen. Although since it is a larger hospital, it was a bit overwhelming for me personally to walk through this place at times, which does make me prefer smaller hospitals like Saint Joe Mount Sterling and Clark Regional due to being less overwhelming and easier to traverse. But my experience here at Baptist was definitely a positive one.
