If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Giving them 1 star is far too generous. I left a review months ago, and found it has been removed. I find that to be both very concerning and interesting considering my review was noticed and I was then contacted by the medical director of this hospital. I guess that got me nowhere. Someone at that place needs to finally listen. You are ruining people's lives. People come to the emergency room for help. Not to be judged or talked about in the hallways. Not everyone is a drug addict looking for their next fix.( But, between you and me, you've got some questionable looking people in some of those uniforms.) The thought of having to ever go back to that ER makes me physically ill. Your providers lack knowledge and know- how, their compassion is non- existent. And you've gotten away with it up until this point. But I'm done. You have hurt me in more ways than you ever helped me. I have an arm that doesn't really work thanks to your very skilled staff who I am very sure BROKE my shoulder when I went through my last dislocation. And now my leg, I pretty much did everything but beg Pete for an MRI that night.. You definitely changed my life UPMC. I will not be ignored again. And you will make this right. If you are an EDS patient, DO NOT go to this hospital. They will hurt you and then try to cover it up. And God help us all, DO NOT take your children to this place, especially if they have been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. They have done things to ensure my adult life if full of pain and extra problems that just didn't have to happen. Living with EDS has been made excruciating by UPMC western Maryland. You truly have ruined my life.

Been sitting here 3 hour for a blood glucose issue with my husband and still have not seen a provider. There is zero excuse for this kind of patient care. Do better for your patience!! If you can't cover your patients get more then 2 providers on the floor! Also, Was in this place over 2 weeks ago myself brought in by ambulance was left sit while severly bleeding passing major blood clots soaking through clothing and layed in the er for over 4 hours before being told anything. My provider came in the room didn't explain what was going on very well and told me I was going to surgery less then 3 minutes in my room and left, was the only time she came in the entire visit. This hospital use to be one of the best in the area far from impressed with the level of patient care.

I haven't ever anything good about this hospital but I must disagree. I recently broke my hip and that's where my journey. From the time EMS in Frostburg arrived I received great care. Yes once I arrived at the hospital slowed down and I spent my first in an ER on one of those beds in the hallway. It's not their fault they were busy. Everyone in the ER were Great. Then I was moved to the 5th floor in an observation room and once again everyone was great. So I wanted to make sure that people know everything that I heard about this hospital was completely wrong. So I wanted to tell each and every person that I dealt with they were great and had a splendid stay.
