I would like to share how wonderful my daughteru2019s experience has been. Dr Karr was her surgeon and he took time out of his busy schedule to explain the whole procedure that he was going to perform on her. She went into the hospital very anxious and scared but she felt much better after he had answered all of our questions. He was very nice and very professional!! The nurse staff has been just as wonderful as he was. They have helped her with every step of recovery so far. I want to say a big thank you to all of the staff at Parkview Hospital for making her experience so good. Thank you again!! Marisa

Had just had my son in for fluids for his CVS syndrome. Usually we are hospitalized till his his metabolic is about level. Due to I can not give him the fluids he needs at home. Mind you he has been in ICU 2 times in the past few months over these flares. We were there 2 days, and then asked by the Dr, if she would like to send him home with potassium pills for 2 days and he could come back in for as outpatient for his lab testing. I know many Dr's arnt informed of CVS, I had to explain to the Dr... ud83eudd26u200du2640ufe0f and sense I am no Dr she didn't take me seriously. So he was released. So now we are at home still in the state of vomitting, and uncertainty and he will be going to another hospital. The care he receive from most of the staff was rude, lacked empathy for the unwell. And I could see it was because lack of training. My poor son with a condition that can't be healed from was feeling like burden in the place he should feel most safe.

We always have hood care at PRMC I will say that out of all of the hospitals it's the best at making sure the food is reasonably priced for long stays. We never have a bad run in with nurses or doctors they are always so caring and kind. I do believe that some of the rules and pediatrics need to be worked on .

I had surgery April 10th on my face at 2A entrance. My nurse Leah and student Layman were great. They both had a sense of humor. I told them I was a hard stick, they called for back up. Kim(aunt),Melinda(mom),and Julie(baby) arrived to help. We had a blast joking around. I didn't even feel when they were trying to find a vein. Melinda was able to find a vein the first time. I've never had such a great time in a stressful situation. Tezera was my anesthesiologist and explained everything. Cheryl was my surgery nurse took great care of me. Dr. Westrick was my surgeon and he did a awesomeness job. The best plastic surgeon ever. Al was my recovery nurse ,he was very kind. Natalie was my last nurse to get me ready to leave. She had me laughing all the way to the car. I love Park View Medical Center Fort Wayne, I drive two hours but would drive further for the greatest care.

Parkviews Patient Advocacy did the worst possible thing to me and then tried to deny it like it didn't take place. I called the Parkviews Patient Advocacy team and instead of listening to me and what I had to say about the situation I was calling in for the Advocate immediately sided with the person I was having difficulty with and proceeded to say that she in fact was sitting right next to the person of whom I was talking about in the same room during my conversation with another colleague of hers. So not only did she violate my HIPPA by eavesdropping on my conversation and then admitting it to me. Mind you this is the Patient Advocate not the other colleague of whom I was having the original issue with. So she claimed I was yelling and I was not, I was explaining my complaint in detail with outwardly expressions that I believe I am entitled of and to the freedom of speech. If you look up a Google search of Parkviews Patient Advocacy you will see an AI Generated review and will show you that they, The Patient Advocacy team has issues with both Communication and other concerning behaviors they portray to the community of Fort Wayne. I don't doubt that this will even get a response as all of their reviews about parkview goes to the Patient Advocate so if a review is done on them they are likely to deny it and be extremely bias. As it did happen just recently to me this past week I think it was Monday May, 19th 2025.They won't take this review very seriously and will more than likely downplay the situation and guard whomever they think nessesary to cover up their misdeeds and play it off as if me the Patient is the problem and will claim an old 16th century disorder called, Malingering. A term used in ancient war times to describe solders who they think we're making up things which in fact they were suffering from Shellshock syndrome another term used in war but later was attributed to trauma from war and thus the 4 letter acronym PTSD was created and given first to wartime vets and now CPTSD. It is more accurate for both civilians and military veterans now a days.I hope this post helps some parkview staff and patients going forward and that Parkview makes an honest approach at hearing what the Customer/Patient has to say and not side with one or the other and make an honest unbiased approach towards communication and advocacy problems so they can be addressed right then and there and work together towards a better outcome for all who purchase products and services from Parkview.
