After having a sore throat for 2 weeks, I went in to ClearChoiceMD and they did a rapid strep test, which came back negative, and then sent me home. Today (2 weeks later) I went in because my throat STILL hurts. They said they couldn't verify my insurance on the website and refused to call to verify. They turned me away. I went to the DHMC clinic and they verified my insurance online in 2 minutes and then when I got in to see the doctor, they verified I have strep throat and prescribed me medicine. This could have been handled weeks ago and saved me from all this pain if ClearChoiceMD had done their jobs in the first place. I will never go here again!

As a physician I would not recommend this company. Refused to bill the insurance for a test the insurance would fully cover. Forced to pay via credit card prior to test being done (which I could understand), but then Clear Choice refused to submit this claim to my insurance -who would have PAID IN FULL. Reason given: that I paid in full prior to test being done. BUYER BEWARE

Brought my 17 year old daughter in for an obvious urinary tract infection. Flank and abdominal pain, high fever (103.6) overnight, inability to urinate although feeling constant urgency, headache and body aches, history of UTIs. After seeing the medical assistant, drinking water and finally getting a specimen, the physician came in to see my child. Announced the urine was fine but would be sent off for a culture. Without palpating her abdomen, looked in her ears and throat, diagnosed a yucky viral thing because lots of them were going around. Sent home with Tylenol and fluids, and told to come back if she gets worse. Well, she got worse so we were back at 7:30 pm and the first thing we hear is the medical assistant literally yelling from the other side of the desk, you can't bring her back here!. The physician came out to the waiting room (so much for privacy) and refused to see us, because she could only be diagnosed with an ultrasound. Went to the local emergency room and where she was diagnosed, without an ultrasound, with pyelonephritis. Clearchoice personnel called back two days later and left a message for me to call them, it was to tell me the culture results kind of a rare bacteria and offer an antibiotic prescription. Kind of a too little too late response. I didn't see the message for 14 hours and I wonder if Clearchoice would have recalled me if I hadn't called them. I feel the care we received was inadequate, unprofessional and rude. I won't be returning and frankly, would like to ask for my money back.Within 48 hours of posting the above review, a ClearChoice MD representative, Dr. Scott, spoke with me about our visit. He was very professional and listened to my concerns. He has promised reimbursement for the visit which I felt was appropriate.
