I visited Cleveland Urgent Care because I was experiencing redness, itching, and suspected an allergic reaction in my eyes. I was the only patient in the lobby, yet I sat waiting for 90 minutes with no updates. During that time, I was handed five different forms to fill outu2014none of which were ever referenced again. The front desk staff was rude, they ignore my basic questions.nnWhen I was finally seen, the practitioner Lisa Mahone took less than two minutes with me. She didnu2019t ask a single question about my symptoms, didnu2019t examine my eyes, and immediately declared, u201cYou have pink eye,u201d before writing a prescription and rushing me out. The eye drops she gave me made my symptoms worseu2014my eyes became more irritated, started burning, and my vision declined. I had to go to the ER, where I was told the medication she prescribed was for an infection, not an allergyu2014exactly the opposite of what I needed.nnThe bill for this careless, two-minute misdiagnosis? $227.nnUnless you are absolutely out of options, do NOT go here. I strongly recommend that the relevant medical oversight department investigate the practices at this facility. Iu2019m giving this one star only because zero stars isnu2019t possible.

My daughter who was from out of town visiting Cleveland on a National tour came to the clinic in February 2025. Her throat was bothering her very badly. It looked very red and irritated, and her tonsils were swollen with some white bacteria on it. Her lymph nodes in her neck were also swollen. I was on face time with my daughter during the exam as this was the first time she was away from home and going to the doctor on her own. The Dr. asked all the necessary questions, and the exam was thorough. She was diagnosed with an ear infection and put on amoxicillin. My daughter was a little surprised because her ears were not hurting her. She asked the doctor if maybe she could have Mono since she was traveling a lot in planes and buses but the Dr. advised that unless my daughter was involved with someone that is was unlikely. As the days went by she was not feeling better even though she was taking the medicine as instructed. Her tonsils were getting completely white with bacteria and throat was getting more and more red and swollen. I was in touch with the clinic and letting them know that she was probably going to come back for a 2nd visit because it didn't seem like the medicine was working. The day after I spoke with them my daughter woke up with a rash all over her body. I thought it was a reaction to the medicine. She went to the Main Campus ER in Cleveland. The ER Dr. quickly diagnosed her with Mono. When a patient has Mono they are not supposed to be given Penicillin/Amoxicillin; the bodies reaction is a rash and symptoms can become worse. He said it was a textbook case. They did blood work and confirmed her diagnosis. They gave her fluids because she's a singer and was dehydrated put her on Zantac for the rash and told her to get as much rest as possible with her profession. Within 2 days of being off the Amoxicillin her tonsils were clear of any white stuff and the swelling was down. Her rash is taking a while to go away, and she is truly feeling the symptoms of mono with fatigue and fever on and off in which before the antibiotic was given, I feel her body was really trying to naturally fight off the Mono and that is why she wasn't easily diagnosed at first. I am not blaming the clinic but just putting it out there that if you feel your diagnosis is not correct, speak up and trust your body and for the Dr's to listen to the patient more as well.
