Though the level of care is for the most part excellent. There are times that some staff members are rude, dismissive and unprofessional. Along with I get the impression they are quick to push you out the door without any answers to your problems. And/ or they want you out before you are ready and able to return home. Is it a department head problem? That is what I believe is the issue. Shortage of,beds, rooms and staff? It seems to me that the majority of the doctors, nurses and all the staff give 110%. So my question is what has changed. I have been in Soldotna scince 1977 and have had multiple family members in and out of the CPGH. Mostly with positive results. What concerns me the most is the rush to push patients out the door before their care is complete.

My mother is suffering from dementia-related illnesses, and they're considering discharging her back home independently. I'm her only living child, and they're completely locking me out, despite confirming her full name, date of birth, and my phone number multiple times. I'm a nurse myself, and it is literally a black hole if you're not anywhere near it. Unbelievable, especially as a facility that's supposed to serve native peoples. I've had to tell them multiple times who I am, why I'm calling, and it's ridiculous.

I am really grateful for this care network in our community! I have recently had appointments in various departments: ER, imaging, surgery associates, the women's health clinic and the urgent care clinic in Kenai. I have been really happy with all the care I have received. Thorough, good follow-up, fast lab and imaging results, lots of helpful and reassuring nurses, doctors who are straightforward, great online patient portal, and they seem to work well with insurance companies. I just wanted to take a minute to leave a good review and be grateful to have such good care right here on the Kenai Peninsula!

I recently took my son to the ER after a fall, and I was thoroughly impressed with the care we received. As a hospital employee who recently moved from the lower 48, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the experience was comparable, if not better, than what I've seen at much larger hospitals.nnFrom the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, compassionate, and professional. They made sure he felt comfortable and took the time to explain every step of his treatment, which helped put us both at ease. The wait time was reasonable, and we felt like he was in excellent hands the entire time. Iu2019m so grateful for the team who turned a potentially stressful situation into such a positive experience.nnHighly recommend this ER for anyone needing emergency care!

The imaging department is pretty good and the Lab technicians are great and almost never have to stick you twice. as far as having your blood drawn goes I've definitely been to worse places . The cafeteria is top notch so much so that I stop in more than most other restaurants in town. I especially love the biscuits and gravy in the morning and you'll never beat the price of a burger and fries or tater tots!
