The medical provider's bedside manner was terrible. He was dismissive, spoke over me and never once acknowledged my pain, making me feel like I was a fool for coming in. He spent what felt like 30 seconds with me, but was in reality probably more like two minutesu2014certainly no more than thatu2014which added insult to my (what he described as non-existent) injury (health issue) since I was literally the only patient in the entire clinic. (What was he in a rush to go do?)The silver lining of my experience was I trusted his knowledge, if only because he interrupted me to use his 7 years of working in trauma as proof that I had zero idea what I was talking about (though I came to the facility specifically because of a recurring health issue I've had for over 12 years).I certainly won't ever be going back to this location, which is a shame since the nursing staff was helpful and kind.

Easily the only acceptable Exer near me. The Melrose location is godawful and the Silverlake location comes close to being as horrid. If you need urgent care come here. Trust me!I needed to go to urgent care because the Santa Ana winds always mess with my respiratory system and the recent ash from the fires made it worse.I really didnu2019t want to try an Exer again but I decided to risk it.They have a pretty big parking lot.Every Exer has the lamest check in system. You do it in your phone by taking a picture if one of those thingies. I never remember what theyu2019re called. lol. Anyway they ask you tons of questions and ask you to snap pictures of your ID and insurance card. Itu2019s weird that they ask you to jnput some of the info on your insurance card. Anyway itu2019s annoying. It was better when you just gave urgent cares your UD and insurance card and they would do all the work.Anyway the receptionist was ok. The nurse was excellent and the doctor was excellent too. I couldnu2019t believe it. I was expecting some mean looking guy that made you feel like you were wasting their time. Nope. The doctor was nice and very calm and didnu2019t look bothered and didnu2019t rush me. Great job! Now I know where to come!Maybe you have experienced this too at an Exer. At one, the doctor asked why I thought I was sick. Weird. Iu2019m not a doctor. At another one the doctor made me feel like I was trying to get meds to get high or make meth or whatever. Usually doctors treat you like they trust you. Not these guys. Both cases were very uncomfortable and made me feel so uneasy.

I had a truly disturbing experience at this urgent care that I will be reporting to both the California Medical Board and my insurance provider.I arrived early, seeking treatment for a rapidly worsening eczema flare. I have a condition called Central Serous Retinopathy (CSR), which prevents me from using oral steroids u2014 meaning I rely on urgent care to help manage flares quickly and safely. Despite arriving first, I was passed over for another patient who came in later and appeared to be attending for follow-up care related to a legal case. When I politely asked why, the front desk staffer, Sylvia, told me the other patient was a u201cVIP client.u201d Another woman (who refused to give her name) became increasingly hostile. She told me I would be seen but wouldnu2019t say if it would be before or after the VIP, dodging the question repeatedly. When I began recording the interaction for accountability, she told me I couldnu2019t record her u2014 even though this happened in a public waiting area.Eventually, she told me I was being denied care and instructed me to wait outside for the police to arrive. I did u2014 but the police never came. After waiting and losing even more time, I gave up and had to beg my dermatologist to consult me remotely, sending him photos to get any sort of medical help. This wasnu2019t a triage decision. It was discriminatory, retaliatory, and unethical. I was calm. I was respectful. I asked a basic question about fairness and was treated like a threat instead of a patient. If this clinic prioritizes VIP referrals over actual medical need, they should be honest about that. You deserve to know how this place treats people. I will be submitting formal complaints u2014 and I hope others donu2019t experience what I went through.

There was a bit of a wait, but everyone was kind, helpful and really listened. They also worked with me to get the best care and most cost effective care. The doctor made sure I had no concerns when I left. The reception staff was approachable and helpful.Easy to check in even if you are a new patient.

I had a fantastic experience at the Exer Urgent Care in West Hollywood. Doctor Caleb thoroughly reviewed and treated my symptoms, and answered all of my questions. Anthony, the medical assistant, provided the best care in checking my vitals and supporting the doctor. Their services were much faster than visiting an ER. I highly recommend this urgent care for any of your needs!
