I sat with my daughter who was in tremendous pain due to kidney stones. She was in horrible pain The lack of empathy and care for her as a patient was clear. The ignoring behavior of the nurses and medical team felt prejudice. Were we not dressed nice enough? Were we not friendly enough going through the challenge of dealing with pain? When a patient comes in who you see And how you are treated is a direct reflection on the hospital as a whole. This place doesnu2019t have what it takes to have good reviews. Or repeat customers. I will never bring anyone there again. I hope this helps someone make a better choice than I did so the outcome is a better one.We were there for over seven hours!Upon discharge they sent her home with a script and stated the stones (several) were way too high still to pass and it would take time. She was discharged with no direction or help out. No wheelchair assistance either. She had to walk IN PAIN all the way out where I made her stay whileI retrieved the car! We went directly to the pharmacy since the medication given several prior discharge and was starting to wear off. We drove to the pharmacy where we were informed the prescribing doctor was not a subscribed Medicare doctor who couldPrescribe the medication prescribed and we would have to call and have a different doctor prescribe them. We called the ER and they argued. Horrible, HORRIBLE experience with this medical team! I recommend going somewhere else and would give a minus star Reading since they state, this is a place of healing.

My Dad fell and broke a rib. He ended up here at Metro. The hospital was clean. Some I've been to not so clean. The Doctors, Nurses, and Staff are pleasant. Food is good. If I have to go to the hospital, I want to go here. Even when my Dad was grumpy the staff was compassionate.

My 99 year old Mom was at this hospital earlier today. They sent her home, and told us to come back if she started bleeding again. She started bleeding again extremely heavy, so we came by an ambulance. They put her in the waiting room. The nursing staff doesnu2019t seem to think itu2019s a problem that sheu2019s bleeding on the furniture bc her vitals are good. This used to be a decent hospital, but not anymore. Iu2019m gonna start taking her to a better hospital with staff that cares about their patients. Sheu2019s laying on a chair with visible blood on her and they donu2019t seem to think thatu2019s a problem. The nursing supervisor I talked to said this is normal to wait while bleeding. In what world is this normal?

I have major depressive disorder due to a neurological issue. I chose to come to this ER after a suicide attempt because my neurologist is in this hospital. That was a major mistake. I am now even considering finding a new neurologist after I laid in my bed and listened to the staff talking during there shift change. I got to hear them say things like there sure are allot of psychos here today yeah it must be because it's the first of the month and they all got there welfare checks It was extremely sickening to hear the things they were saying. It was very obvious this type of behavior was the norm and allowed. While these things were being said it appeared to be during a shift change with probably about 20 people at the desk. All being said loud and out in the open with no regard to the patients. I might be a psycho but it is due to an underlying medical condition I have been seeking treatment for and in between my seizures I am perfectly normal and have held the same job for many years drawing a 6 figure salary and have never gotten a welfare check in my life. There may even have been other patients in the ER in the same shoes as me. I am so disgusted by what I had to listen to and I hope none of the other patients had to hear what I did. I am highly considering looking for a new neurologist. This type of behavior does not just reflect on one department but is a reflection on the hospital as a whole.
