A loved one had some additional diagnostic imaging performed after an initial routine diagnostic revealed some curiosities. It turned out to be nothing, but the billing was egregiously handled.United Health insurance covered the initial routine diagnostic, but would only partly cover the additional procedures (to the tune of $1467 out of $6557 or 22%). However, Cameron gives a 40% discount if you elect to pay in cash, which should have resulted in a bill of $3942 for us (based on 60% of $6557) after our request to pay in cash, without the insurance. Instead, several months later, we get a bill stating that Cameron processed our insurance, and the remaining bill was our responsibility, a tidy $5089. We now owe nearly $1150 more because they billed us by filing an insurance claim that we did not want. They claim they have no record of our request to pay cash. I couldn't see their records - just had to take their word for it -- and of course, I didn't put our request to pay cash in writing, so shame on me (not really). The loss of the request nets them an extra $2600 while bilking me out of an extra $1150 though, so it does appear to be beneficial and convenient for them.My advice is to watch them like a hawk and require printouts of all of their records when they make them. It could have been a legit mistake that they have no way of fixing (still don't understand why) but in the very least, it raises the specter of some potentially sneaky billing practices. Why wouldn't they just bill the patient via the cheaper of the two payment options in the first place? Again, they just seem to be kind of sneaky.

Please do not go here unless it's for a bandaid! My dad was taken here to the ER. He was not happy with the ER at all! I didn't arrive until they were taking him to a room! They admitted him! Dr. Sifuentes is an absolute joke! He's an arrogant piece of work! Gave us no answers at all! My dad's procedure that he was supposed to have at 9:30 am ended being after 1pm! After we were told by Dr. Sifuentes... I don't like waiting for a delayed flight at the airport but there isn't anything I can do about it so I guess you just wait! He literally stooped down and got right in my dads girlfriends face and said.. sometimes you dont getbwhat you want! Sometimes you dont get answers and laughed it off! They literally just wrote my Dad off and sent him home! No answers at all! The discharge nurse told us to take him straight to Parkview! I guess they got what they wanted .. money! Now they better hope nothing happens to my Dad! This place is a joke! Please don't go here! Shout out to Nurse Nell! She was great!

This is in regards to outpatient lab. Iu2019ve always had a great experience with them. But today my 12 month old daughter needed blood drawn. First of all drawing blood on a baby is never fun or easy and they had to poke her a few times but during that entire time they were kind and most of all patient with my little girl. Theyu2019ve always been friendly to me and I appreciate it, it goes a long way u2764ufe0f

Not sure they even deserve 1 star! Very upset with this Hospital. My daughter is almost 24 weeks pregnant. Went to the ER on a Monday with pain and discomfort, did a urine sample and was told it could be a UTI gave her a antibiotic just in case... Thursday mid morning ended up going to labor and delivery , because of her pain being unbearable and vomiting. They did another urine sample, monitored baby for a bit saw blood in urine and said could be kidney stone.. Sent her home with.. take Tylenol, drink water and use heating pad. Later that night she was still in horrible pain and vomiting. (She had been trying all the things they told her to do). She called labor and delivery bawling explaining to them she had been there 2 times already with no actual answers and that her pain is still unbearable, she was vomiting and couldn't keep anything down, also that she was very concerned and wanted to make sure her baby boy was okay. She told them she was on her way in, because she would like a ultrasound to please make sure everything was okay, and an answer as to what was going on, so the right treatment could be done. Nurse replied with there is no one here to check for that and even if there was they would not check for something like that! She would have to wait till the morning if she wanted to come in...We told them we will be going to Parkview and hung up! Absolutely sad they didn't seem to have any concern the 2 times she was there and the phone call! She is a young mother wanting to make sure her unborn child was okay and wanted answers! Thanks to Parkview we were welcomed with concerned nurses, doctors and staff also reassuring her she did the right thing and was not wasting the Hospitals time! They quickly realized she was dehydrated, hooked her up to IV for fluids and pain management allowing her to get some much need rest. Also set her up for a ultrasound! She got the answers and treatment she needed and reassurance baby was okay! Can't thank them enough for their kindness and concern for my daughter and unborn grandson!Shame on you Cameron for just brushing her aside, and showing no concern for her or her baby! What was you guys going to do wait till things got worse, put her baby in distress and got out of hand and then try to find out what the problem was??I really hope if she decides to stay under the care of her OB with you guys, they do the right things from here on out and at the time of delivery!

This place is a joke when it comes to billing. My wife and I have paid thousands of dollars to collection agencies and to this hospital only to find out that we still owe thousands more. They will take payments and apply to bills you do t know about. Then out of the blue you get more bills totaling thousands. So long story short they double dip on bills and keep billing you after the payoff is done. They find new bills that are old and send those. Itu2019s a never ending process. They are a money scam. If you have the opportunity to go to a different hospital than itu2019s worth the drive.
