On Thursday 5/15/25 in the latter half of the afternoon. I was well taken care of by the administration staff and medical staff.nMy lip on the left hand side of my inner lip was sewn up with stitches that dissolve on their own.nThis had to be done, because I was assaulted by a crazy man at the B49 bus stop, on the block of Bedford Avenue off of Church Avenue, here in Brooklyn, New York.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at [suny downstate 8th floor]. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place is in complete disarray. The staff was rude and unhelpful, the food was awful, and the entire establishment felt neglected. The building itself is in desperate need of renovationu2014it looks run-down and poorly maintained.nnOn top of that, the atmosphere was chaotic and lawless, with no sense of order or professionalism. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and moneyu2014go somewhere else!nn---nnIf you want to add more specifics, like a bad interaction with staff or a particular issue with the food, I can tweak it further. Let me know!

Going down down hill. Definitely needs a face lift everything old. The inpatient rooms are horrible you can't shower or use the water to brush your teeth. The staff were I was admitted was ok. Now the fast track is a mess depending on who you need to see the ortho Surgeons and their residents are amazing. Other specialty doctors and residents very questionable. They can do better they fell off alot.

I took my mother to the emergency room for severe pain in her lower extremities. I have to admit that the customer service and attention my mother received were exceptional for an emergency room. Nurse Mckenzie was attentive to my mother's needs,very prompt with giving her the ordered medications, very friendly. The resident who saw my mom Paolo, if only all physicians were as humble and attentive as he was with her. He took his time to listen to my mother's issues, took the time to take her history, he explained everything in detail and most of all he checked on her often and also provided feedback as far as next steps being taken. I was really impressed with service.

The nurses are ok! But the system needs to upgrade. For sign up in discharge papers, they took almost 5hrs!
