This hotel is actually awesome!!! The views are great and the property is huge with beautiful gardens and ponds. The pools are countless and super fun. I came here with my girlfriend (now fiancu00e9) and proposed to her on the beach. The rooms are also pretty large and the ocean view rooms are so worth it. It was a wonderful stay overall. The only negative was that we decided to extend the stay for a day and asked they combine the reservations. They said they had but it never got combined, they just put us in the same room for two stays, which is alright but it made the payments at the end confusing. I just wanted to put $50 on one of my Hilton credit cards and the rest on another, but somehow it got confusing??? I donu2019t know, but the lady who came in to help our original front desk person (who was super sweet and trying her best) was rude to both us and the original lady trying to help us. It just left a bit of a bitter taste in our mouth as we were leaving. But, like I said, our overall trip was amazing and I would 11/10 recommend this hotel as the views are stunning, right on the beach, and has plenty of activities to keep you entertained. I will always remember this trip as a fond memory.

We have been coming here for many years. But we need to rethink future stays. We enjoy foremost lounging each day by the adult only pool and watch the beautiful beach and whale watch while sitting poolside. However the main attraction, the view, is hampered by this out of control large hedge all around the chairs facing the beach. What a shame. Such a simple fix to have these hedges/bushes trimmed down low so guests can see the beach from the chairs. Also, for the prices you pay, very disappointing they ALWAYS have missing umbrellas and people clamoring for shade. We may have to switch to the Marriott down the way which has an amazing infinity pool and more lounge chairs with umbrellas than you can count. And all chairs and umbrellas have views. Sad we will have to leave Grand Wailea.

I photographed lots of weddings at the Grand Wailea and itu2019s one of my favorite venues on Maui! So many different location options for receptions and ceremonies. From one of the most unique chapels in Hawaii to oceanfront views, this hotel has it all. Tropically landscaped gardens, beautiful architecture and sitting right by a gorgeous beach with direct sunset views. The property is massive and really beautiful.

The resort is beautiful and the staff was great. Beach access was convenient. Breakfast was included in our package so we ate a great meal every morning at Humau2019huma. Kevin at the concierge planned a great day trip for us. Only downsides are all the add on fees for parking, beach chairs, etc. And you canu2019t get a chaise lounge by the pool after 8am. The cabana rentals take up a ton of room and are very pricey. It makes it hard to utilize the pool area. But overall a nice stay.

We took a lot of time researching to decide which resort we would stay at in Wailea. The Grand Wailea hands down is the best one. Its grounds are stunning. The artwork inside is beautiful. The pools are abundant and the beach is breathtaking. There were so many negative comments online about getting a chair. For the pool, but it wasn't an issue at all. There's so many pools you can get chairs.nThe spa is beyond fabulous.I wish there was a spa near me like that. Dining is awesome and the rooms are wonderful.nThe only thing I would recommend they do is to have staff on-site who can give a brief tour of the main locations inside. People get lost as soon as they check in. Literally, there are so many people that check in and it can take up to twenty minutes or so justify your room and the right elevator.nThey don't seem to realize this is a big issue. They just need to be giving more guidance and having people on site to help guide. It took us halfway in our visit before we mastered where the right elevators were, the fastest way to access the beach and the pool. Also, they have a photography studio on-site. They do a free 45 minute session. Of course, you have to pay for the images if you decide to purchase, but that's another thing that they should mention when people check-in the amenities are nice, but I highly recommend they give more information. It's too huge a resort fast to just hand a map and say there you go.
