I was in so much pain from a sore throat, that I just happened to catch from a visit with family in NY. I pretty much new what it was, since my cousin was just diagnosed with it on Monday. I went to this urgent care because it was close by. I got in right away at 10 am. The place was clean and staff was friendly. I saw Dr. Ziegler. He was awesome. Very professional and did a full evaluation of my symptoms. He didn't rush me and took a throat culture. Luckily, it was not strep, just a sore throat. He prescribed me the medicine necessary and sent it over to my pharmacy. Three days later, they called to check up on how I was doing. Overall, I am very happy with the service and care.

I was treated for strep throat, and that was the only positive thing about my time here. The front desk staff was gossiping about patient's files and many of them were on their phones the whole time. Once I got into a room, my doctor asked about my symptoms, and ordered two tests. He came back in 15 minutes later, diagnosed me with strep throat, and proceeded to hassle me about my weight and weight loss for 30 minutes. He also said the same thing to the patient before me as well. He was questioning my workout habits, my diet, and generally making me feel awful the whole time. I did not ask for him to do this and I left feeling very upset with the quality of care I received. I will not be coming back to this location.

Iufe0f saw Dr. Tasie yesterday (11/11), and he was incredibly rude and spoke in a derogatory manner to me the whole time. Iufe0f was very uncomfortable with him. His tests for my concussion also didnu2019t work right because he was standing so close Iufe0f couldnu2019t move my leg correctly. He had told me to go straight to the ER for a CT scan, but he didnu2019t give me an order form so iu2019ve Been unable to schedule a scan until a different doctor can give me an order form. The front desk woman and the nurse who took my vitals were the only good things about the experience.

I've been going to FLUCC for several years after my primary got too busy and went the concierge route (extra $5k/yr to be seen on time). For acute issues I can't imagine anything else; ER is overkill most of the time and our primaries either have limited clinic (sick) hours or none at all. With a few exceptions we've been seen relatively quickly and are overall very satisfied. I haven't been to my primary in 5-7 years...

The wait can be a little insane at times, but they treated my staph infection with ease when my PCP was literally too grossed out to treat it. (I believe her words upon seeing it was Oh my God! What is that?!) The xrays, medicine, and procedure to heal the infection were so much cheaper than the ER. (PS--the ER can be crappy, too. My brother was misdiagnosed by the on-staff physician at the ER at a time when there was literally no one else there that night). Is FLUCC perfect? No. I wish the nurses were a little more fluent in English, but they are nice and comforting and they are able to do the basic functions as a nurse. Would I go to FLUCC if I feel like the injury or illness was life threatening? No, but you should never go to an urgent care for that. Go if you have a minor illness/injury. You will get pretty good treatment.
