A beautiful modernist structure with a mirrored facade which stands 220m high and is the 5th tallest building in Dallas,TX. An elegant and noticeable feature of the city's skyline with prism like top that looks different from every angle. The true hidden gem at Fountain Place Fountain Plaza located at the base of the building. A soft contrast to the angular building above and a beautiful, clean and peaceful place to cool off, walk around or just sit and enjoy the serenity of the 172 dancing fountains. It is especially pretty at night when the fountains are lit up.

I remember when Fountain Place was under construction in the 1980's. Actually - 1984 and it opened in 1986. It is a 60 story building and it is the fifth tallest building in Dallas.The beautiful fountains are around and under the building as you can see by the pictures. The building is open for foot traffic underneath at the entryway. Very unique! Modernist and Lovely! A walking tour with Facebook brought to the Fountains to take a bunch of pictures to share the beauty with you all!

This building symbolized Dallas for me. It has such an interestingu00a0shape and almost mirror-like fau00e7ade, it's very intriguing and instantly recognizable despite not being the tallest buildingu00a0in the city.Fortunately the buildingu00a0itself is not the reason for this review, it's the surrounding of this 220 meters tall skyscraper that gave it its name - Fountainu00a0Plaza. I was absolutely shocked by the beauty of it as I have never seen a place like this in my life! The array of 172 dancing fountains in the plaza is just spectacular. The water cools the air, and the grown trees provide shade, therefore I felt very comfortable on a hot Friday afternoon. There are plenty of benches here,u00a0which is appreciated as sitting on meticulouslyu00a0cut grass is not allowed.As the Fountain Plaza is an office building, the plaza was literally empty outside of an office hours, but let me tell you, if I worked here I would have spent every lunch break here! Visited in June 2023.
