Do not go to Care nowI was feeling horrible so I got up got dressed booked an appointment with the Grapevine Care Now across from Hobby Lobby off Hwy 121 in Euless - online hoping to get something to help me and intended to fill out the online forms upon arrival. I was having trouble completing the forms. The greeter at the front desk will not take your information or insurance. His only output was u201cconnect to the networku201dWhat network? Whats the name? Do I need a password? Itu2019s unsecured by the way. There are NO signs indicating the unsecured networks name nor that it does not require a password. No one explained that you will not be able to complete anything until you use our unsecured network whatever that network is.I would recommend placing a sign with the network name and instructions stating you will need to fill out the forms online using our network - network name. Our front desk will not take any information. So my appointment was delayed and I had to reschedule go last in line and start over.Iu2019m feeling pretty rough by now and frustrated but finally got to see the RN. It appears I have Acute Bronchitis and Iu2019m scheduled for surgery in 2 days I need help and asked for antibiotics and maybe steroids. When the RN was making her final assessment the RN stated:antibiotics are bad for you thatu2019s old school we are trying to teach people- itu2019s old school - they stay in your system for a year or more. Steroids are bad for you they break down your immune system - just let it run its course Iu2019ll give you things to help with symptomsu2026 really? While all of this is true there - are times when you need some help. I already have everything she prescribed for the symptoms I could have stayed in bed.The assistant handed me 5 pages and told me to read what to do when I got home. She never went over any of the medications. I would recommend at least going over the medication and going over the instructions of when and how much to take to ensure your patient understands and allow them to ask questions.Really go home and read these papers to see what to do?This clinic is making a lot of money not helping people because if your illness does last a long time and you do get worse then you have to come back and then they will consider giving antibiotics ect.Iu2019m a deep dive researcher and this is common practice for bronchitis:prescription for acute bronchitis might include antibiotics, bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory medications like steroids, or cough suppressants. I got the cough suppressant which I already had on hand.I hope corporate takes some of these recommendations to help better the patient experience. I know I will never go back and would not recommend them to anyone I care about. I drove home feeling worse than when I got there and very disappointed.

I visited the CareNow ~ Richardson location Saturday morning due to a diverticulitis flare up. Provider, Michael Hellemn denied me medication (antibiotics) for said flare up.He stated that there was a study that antibiotics for diverticulitis was like giving jelly beans to patients and that taking meds for a flare up was basically useless. He stated that if he prescribed me antibiotics that he would be vulnerable to a lawsuit. I asked his if this was a Carenow policy and never answered, but instead went around the question. He stated that I need to make a lifestyle change and eat better, hence that's where the diverticulitis flare up stemmed from eating two salads in one day.My husband, who was present in the room, stated that if antibiotics could not be prescribed, what could he prescribe for pain, which is gave Tramadol.I assume, he thinks that I was searching for pain meds for drug use, but that wasn't the case.I was in severe pain and I know what was needed for the flare up, which was antibiotics to relieve the infection that had set up in my colon. I'm not sure if he is aware, but I could have set up sepsis due to the infection in my colon. He was negligent as a physician to provide adequate patient care. I've NEVER experienced a physician denying meds due to a study he has read. His lack of sympathy to my health was disregarded and I left the facility disappointed, flabbergasted, and disgusted. I did visit Carenow ~ Abrams and they assisted with prescribing the meds that I needed. Currently, I am on the mend of recovery and feeling much better. Not sure if anything will be done to Dr. Hellemn, but no patient, in particular, who deals with diverticulitis should encountered such gross negligence from Dr. Hellemn EVER!

I went to Urgent Care on Monday, January 6 at 9:30 in the morning. I got a somewhat examination. The doctor didnu2019t even listen to my lungs gave me a steroid shot and a breathing treatment. She told me I had a sinus infection my throat infection in my throat and ear infection. She said she would send me a prescription to HEB. I believe it was a Z pack. This is Tuesday at 4:30. She still has not sent it. I called the office multiple times which evidently is outsourced to India or somewhere that I could not understand the person and they kept sending me back to the office that I got a recording that they were unavailable. I asked to talk to management. He said he would review my file and send me something out. I still havenu2019t got it. I do not recommend this office to anyone. They obviously didnu2019t have time to send in my prescription, but I bet they had time to bill Medicare
