Doctors are always on vacation or booked out. Getting in person appointments is almost impossible. You have to wait 3-6 months for in person appointments. Doctors will only see you for about 10 minutes and are very quick to dismiss your concerns without running tests or checking your medical history. After waiting 3 months for an appointment they should at least listen to your concerns and run tests. They are very unprofessional. Do not recommend.

I was so happy when they finally implemented MyChart, as their former portal was so useless and getting in touch with your provider was impossible. But there's actually no improvement because if you write a message to your doctor, at least in my case, he does not read it. If you leave a voice message, a non-medical staff person calls you back and is of no help. In my case, for instance, my message was about the results of my lung x-ray necessitating further imagining, which I wanted the doctor to order (which he should have done immediately, without my insistence). The person who called me back said that my doctor wanted her to give me the results of the x-ray. (If the message was listened to or read, it would have been clear that I'd already gotten the results.) More importantly, my lung x-ray showed an irregularity, which the incompetent radiologist said was indicative of an infection. When I looked up the results online it did not list infection as one of the possible causes but rather a list of more serious things and said that further imaging is necessary to determine the cause of the abnormality.nWhen I saw my doctor, before I had the x-ray done, I told him that I'd previously had blood work done and it did not suggest any infection. I also explained that before that I had taken antibiotics for my cough but they did nothing to help. And yet his response to the x-ray result was to order antibiotics.nAs it happens, I also submitted my phlegm for analysis and it confirmed no infection. Blood work another provider ordered also confirmed no infection. And yet, my doctor, or his office, did not call me to tell me not to take the antibiotics he'd prescribed (fortunately, I didn't anyway, but he didn't know that).nAs soon as he saw that my lungs did not have an infection, my doctor should have immediately ordered further imaging to get to the bottom of why I have been short of breath for over a year, had a cough for almost 6 months, and now have an abnormal x-ray. I saw him almost a year ago about my shortness of breath and when the x-ray was normal, he did nothing, when further testing should have been ordered then. Over time, my symptoms only worsened and yet all he could think to do was order antibiotics. Lazy, negligent medical care! I am changing providers.

Iu2019ve had terrible and horrific previous experiences with wisdom teeth extractions but at San Ysidro health I lost that fear! Dr Rozen was amazing and QUICK with an extraction so I opted for him to do the second one (which was a difficult one) The experience was so quick and PAINLESS! The lady that assisted him before the extraction was very thorough in the way she checked my vitals and medications. Thank you both! You both turned a scary situation (given my past experiences elsewhere) around for me.

If you really care about your health this is not the place for you. First their appointment schedule is spread out 3 months out in advance. If you have an immediate concern and need to see a primary care they donu2019t care. They only give patients 7 mins grace period. So if you are late beyond that, they will tell you to reschedule and you have to wait 3+ months yet, you will wait over 40 mins to be seen by a doctor for 5 mins or less. I am soo disappointed in the level of service and hownI have been treated, I have had to look for a new doctor. When I was pregnant I needed a referral to a neurologist because of my headaches but I never heard from the dr neither did they send a message to him when I called the customer service. Had to change my insurance to one where I didnu2019t need a primary care manager because the drs donu2019t have time for patients. Letu2019s just say this isnu2019t the place for anyone to go.
