I wouldnu2019t even give this place one star! I took my son yesterday morning after being sick and having some abnormal symptoms. I explained all the symptoms and timeline to the nurse. They decided to test my son for flu and Covid, but had him blow his nose to swab just the entrance of his nostril instead of taking the sample correctly. The tests came back negative so the doctor (Cantu) came in and looked in my sonu2019s mouth and both ears and told me he had a double ear infection and dismissed all of his other symptoms. After asking about my sonu2019s bloodshot eyes and swollen ankles and legs, the doctor told me he didnu2019t see any swelling and that my son just needed to drink water and Gatorade and he would prescribe him an eyedrop for his eyes. The nurse comes in with the prescriptions and discharge paperwork. This doctor obviously never looked at my sonu2019s patient forms, because he prescribed him not one, but two medications with the medicine my son is allergic to. I immediately informed them of the allergy, they switched the prescriptions and we left! I knew something was wrong with my son and a double ear infection, which after 4 kids Iu2019m pretty familiar with, wasnu2019t the case. I drove my son to Kingwood Pediatric ER. My son now sits downtown waiting to be seen by a pediatric cardiologist for an echo due to Kawasaki Disease, not a bilateral ear infection. Thankfully I listened to my instincts. This place (NextCare) just wants a payout, whatever they can diagnose you with quick on the spot and get you out of there so they can move on to the next. Please donu2019t bring your children here because obviously the only thing they know how to diagnose is maybe a common cold. This place was also filthy and not well kept. It looked like they hadnu2019t wiped anything down in the room we had. There was mold/mildew buildup on the vent (someone posted the same issue in their review and this place responded with it would be addressed 3 months ago and it looks to be the same) and the light cover was all busted up and barely held by a piece of tape.

Front desk staff was pleasant, welcoming, & helpful. Nurse Aid was friendly & efficient. Nurse Practitioner was pleasant, efficient, & thorough. I experienced some nausea & weakness. The staff worked together to provide my treatment efficiently while also providing excellent care.

This Urgent Care is a literal life saver! Every single staff member Dr's, nurses, and front office staff are amazing. They are always so kind and they are great at what they do, I feel they listen to my concerns 100% and treat me with so much respect. Great job NexCare Kingwood!!

I brought my wife in to be seen everyone was very professional & knowledgeable. The nurse working on 03/14/2025 was an absolute delight. The doctor was professional & never made her feel uneasy. The only complaint I had first hand is my wife had called 1 day before booking asking if they took our insurance we were told they did. However when we arrived we were told it was not gonna be covered. Which okay no problem. The attitude that was given by the front office staff was very clear even others in the office area made comments on it. Everything else went perfectly.
