The nurses make this hospital go round. Loved everyone of my nurses. Big shout out to you all on floor 5. Decision making from higher ups does need to be alittle better and more thoughtful of peoples health and time. Been here many times. Hasn't changed to much, but overall pretty good place. BEDS NEED TO BE CHANGED THOUGH. Comfort for the patients should be number 1. Lets make this world a better place please.

I was admitted into the hospital to get a PICC line put in at the request of my foot Dr as traditional oral meds are not effective as Iu2019m antibiotic resistant. Went to the ER as he told me, read verbatim what he told me and before I knew it they were admitting me wanting to chop off a perfectly good big toe (which would go into my foot) making me have to learn to walk again. I offered my doctoru2019s personal cell which he gave me to give to them and they had 0 interest in calling him to find out what was going on, my history, etc. Now something as basic as an infection would lead one to think common sense would be to clean it daily (which they apparently had in my orders) yet is was never done. I saw the plastic bin w/bandages that wasnu2019t even touched and it finally was cleaned 4 days later - last time was by me on Monday. My meds would also never come in a timely manner. Thank God for the infectious disease Dr who agreed it was premature to jump at amputation as did my foot Dr as he kept calling me personally. The infection wasnu2019t spreading to other toes nor up my leg and the doctors never once gloved up to actually manhandle it to get a better idea of what was going on. I checked out that Fri after my PICC line was finally in place and got the heck out of there. I called and filed a formal complaint (I knew that wouldnu2019t do anything) and I got a letter stating u201cthey had an investigation and there was no wrongdoingu201d. Huh? Let me add when I saw my regular foot Dr and he actually pulled off the dead skin, it was perfectly pink underneath. They were ready to cut off a perfectly good big toe and part of my foot affecting the rest of my life but they of course found no wrongdoing. If I was having a heart attack right next to Sherman, there is no way you could get me in there again. You definitely need to be your own advocate when it comes to your healthcare because no one else really cares - only a few rare doctors I am so grateful for. Oh, lastly when I went to the ER to make sure they were in network with my insurance I was told yes but lo and behold I get my EOB that says itu2019s a non-in network facility.

Does not surprise me that they have a 3.3 review. I went to the ER on Valentine's Day 2025. I thought I felt a seizure coming on because I had one not that long before. The head nurse was awful. I can go on and on but I won't. The other nurses weren't that much better. They gave me an IV of fluids, and didn't get it in my vein. However, it went into my arm. My arm blew up like a complete balloon. As a result my arm is now super flabby compared to the other arm. I'm trying to find out where I can go directly to the hospital to fill out a formal complaint with photos.

I recently had a very serious allergic reaction and went to the emergency room. The entire staff did an amazing job! I went to ICU and then a regular room. The doctors and nurses were all very kind and knowledgeable. I didn't know that it could have been life threatening until later. Nurse Grace was fantastic! Thank you!

The staff in both MCWHC and the labor and delivery departments are amazing. I constantly barrage them all with questions and they're so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Dr. Barthel and her team including Carly and Alaina, Dr. Duval and his team, and the labor and delivery team including Sarah and the receptionist today are just all amazing. Thank you to everyone who has helped our baby and me in the last year, we trust you for a safe delivery!
