Will not be returning. At first I thought this was a wonderful place. The receptionist is very friendly and the place is clean and set up well for children. At our last visit, I had to wait in line while holding my sick sleeping toddler behind two women who were angry they couldn't walk in and get their Botox done. The provider was rude and rushed the visit. She talked down to me and barely looked at my child. I was concerned my daughter may have an ear infection with her cold. She assured me her ears looks great. Problem was she never looked in her ears. I am a nurse and there's a lot of an assessment you can make by looking at a child but unless this provider had X-ray vision she could not tell my daughter did not have infections.The same thing happened to my sister. She took my 1 year old nephew there and they said he was fine. The next morning she took him to their pediatrician and he had double ear infections and it had spread to his both his eyes. The staff there stated there was no way there wasn't evidence of the infection yesterday with the severity of them. This place is looking to make a quick buck. They will not take care of your child and you will just have to take them to somewhere else after your done.

I am not sure what we would do without After-Hours Pediatrics. They are always very friendly and caring and both of my kids have been there for all kinds of issues. In a family with two full time working parents this place is a life saver. Going to CMH is the other great option after hours but that experience typically takes 2 hours or more so if you have something minor to treat and need to get in to see someone during off hours this is a great option. I read a post where someone wrote that their child was misdiagnosed (and that may be the case) but I have had the opposite experience where they diagnosed my child immediately and said I needed to get her to a hospital. My child ended up spending two days in the hospital after they directed me in that direction so they were spot on with their diagnosis and ensured we got the care we needed. Thanks After-Hours Pediatrics for providing this service to our community!

I love this place. Not that I love it THAT much, but we do have to go here frequently. I prefer coming here even to my Dr.'s office because the wait is always short and the Dr.'s are very caring and helpful whenever my kids get sick, even one time we had to get stitches. The co-pay is slightly higher than my primary care office, but this facility is clean, kids enjoy the slushys and toys in the wait area. My daughter says everytime we pass the building, that's where I got my stitches obviously not too unpleasant an experience for her:)

As a busy parent, After-Hours Pediatrics is one perk of living in Overland Park! It is very convenient to take a kid in when they get sick when everyone else is closed. In-house pharmacy is a God send too-no more trips to CVS and having to get a sick kid out of the car again.Staff has always been very helpful and very well at making our children comfortable. Slushie machine is pretty awesome too.

This place is a joke! As an RN I am not uneducated and know when a good assessment is done on either a child or an adult. Dr Daugherty looked at my infant for 2 minutes and said everything looked great. I informed her that this was surprising as he tugged at both ears while sobbing and had fevers of 102 degrees and higher. She said ears were healthy and it must be a good ol' fashioned virus but didn't even have suggestions as to better the symptoms. I was unhappy with her opinion and my son was so miserable I couldn't possibly take him home like that. We took him into Children's Mercy and what do you know, a raging double ear infection!!!!!!!! I was so upset I callled and the receptionist was rude and couldn't possibly care less. It is extremely sad that there are places like this where quality care or better yet, medical care is denied to children of all things. RIDICULOUS.
