Dear [ Jefferson hospital or u201cTo Whom It May Concernu201d],nnI am writing to share my recent experience at Jefferson Hospital on Knight Road on Sunday, January 19 12:18 AM. While I understand the challenges healthcare facilities face in providing timely and effective care, I wanted to bring to your attention some concerns about the wait times and the overall experience during my visit.nnUpon arriving at the emergency room or outpatient clinic], I noticed that the waiting area was quite busy, which I anticipated to some extent. However, the time it took to receive care exceeded what I expected and felt reasonable. I waited approximately. I heard the nurse say it would be before 12 hours + seeing a doctor, called back for testsnnDuring this extended wait, I experienced unsafe, discomfort, or observations, such as anxiety, lack of communication, or discomfort due to seating While I appreciate the dedication of the staff who were working hard under pressure, it was challenging not to feel overlooked or uncertain about when I would receive care.nnI understand that long wait times may be unavoidable in certain circumstances, particularly when emergencies take priority. However, I believe there are opportunities to improve the patient experience. For example, regular updates about expected wait times or reasons for delays could go a long way in helping patients feel more informed and reassured.nAt the time I left the hospital seeking health coverage somewhere else if they take you to the back to do some tests and they put you back in the waiting room and you end up leaving they will send you a bill. While I was in the waiting room, I heard people crying for pain asking for help but the nurse said sorry itu2019s a long wait time.nnI hope this feedback can contribute to enhancing the experience for future patients. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns, and I am happy to provide further details if needed.nnSincerely,nAhmad Alkhtib

This is in regards to the ER. The cardiologist sent my 83 yr old diabetic mom to the ER today with chest pain. They even called down to tell the ER she was coming. This was at 3:30p they did an x-ray and blood work and put her in the waiting room. It is after 8pm and she is still in the waiting room. My mother is also unable to walk on her own at this time and therefore in a wheelchair with a very sore backside. The desk staff has been very nasty and not helpful. My mother has had nothing to eat since breakfast and they told my mother and my 63 yr old not tech savvy sister that they can order grub hub. Are you kidding me??? This is a disgrace!!! There is no care or compassion by the front end staff in this ER. You should all be ashamed as you are the face of the ER! The ER is not even full.

Don't Go to This Emergency Room, U have been Warned!nnDear Hospital Administration,nnI am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the care I received during a recent visit to your Emergency Room . I spent approximately twelve hours in the emergency room seeking medical attention. Upon being seen by the attending physician, I clearly stated my belief that I was suffering from a parasite infection.nnDespite this explicit information, the doctor proceeded with blood work. Following the examination, I was prescribed medication for a parasite infection with a duration of ONLY five days. It is my understanding, and common medical knowledge, that treatment for a parasite infection typically requires a course of medication lasting between 30 to 90 days for effective results. The brevity of the prescribed treatment raises serious concerns about the thoroughness and appropriateness of the medical care I received.nnIt was apparent that the physician was aware of the typical treatment duration, making the five-day prescription even more troubling.Beyond the questionable medical treatment. I also experienced what I consider to be highly unprofessional behavior from the attending physician. I was deeply disturbed when this individual took a photograph of me using their personal mobile phone. This action was not explained, and I found it to be a significant breach of professional conduct and personal privacy. Also everybody knows that it takes 3 MONTHS to see a regular doctor, that is why people come to the emergency room for urgent care.nnBased on my experience, I have serious reservations about the standards of care and professionalism within your emergency room. The inadequate treatment and the unprofessional conduct I witnessed and experienced are unacceptable. I would not be able to recommend this hospital to others and would advise them to seek medical care elsewhere, in my opinion. The hospital needs to have someone watching the health professional staff, to make sure they are doing their jobs right and ethically.

I am a retired RN who has been hospitalized at torresdale 5 times within the past 5 years for cardiac issues. I would not be here if not for the care I received from the doctors and nurses there. Everything was explained to me I was treated very respectfully and nothing was too much of a bother. I am so impressed. As a retired nurse I judge hospitals rather harshley and I can honestly say I would place my life in their hands any day. People who complained about the food should go to a restaurant they cannot be that sick.n. I am reading some of the complaints and they are absolutely ridiculous. This is a place that holds your life and their hands and they do a fantastic job. If your life is in the balance do not focus on Petty things. The staff puts their heart and soul in the quality of their work to ensure helping you get to the best level of health humanly possible. How about showing them some respect!

I had an excellent experience at this hospital from start to finish. The wait time was typical for an emergency room, and the nurses at intake were very kind and professional. I've had bad experiences with IVs in the past, but the nurse who did mine was incredibly fast and efficient. The staff who performed my CT scan were also very nice.nnDr. Cullen and Dr. Singh were outstandingu2014hands down the best doctors I've encountered during my ER visits. Although the emergency room was busy, and I had to be placed in the hallway, which I didnu2019t mind. They were very apologetic and showed great compassion. They took the time to explain everything to me in detail and even contacted my psychiatrist my behalf. They truly seemed to care about what I was going through.nnI highly recommend this hospital!
