They charge $350 to be seen upfront & will not bill your insurance. This is highway robbery & obscene etiquette for urgent care compared to other urgent care models across the country. Only the privileged can be seen here. Itu2019s not for the sick, insured, poor, working or middle class. Only wealthy privileged people are afforded care here with disposable income of $350 to pay for mediocre care you can get anywhere else that accepts insurance. They should change the sign & name to: u201cUrgent Care For The Wealthy & Privilegedu201d. As a wealthy person myself, I cannot ethically support such a class & cast business model only offering care to the rich & privileged. Ethically, I cannot & will share this in my circles here in La Jolla & business circles to avoid giving this physician any of our business or referrals.

Last month, I had strep throat that kept me out of work for a few days. Rather than wait for it to go away on its own, my spouse drove me to Urgent Care La Jolla to seek treatment for the infection. They prescribed me the necessary antibiotics to eliminate the infection and restore comfort back to my throat. Soon after, I was able to return to work without feeling any more symptoms. I went to Urgent Care La Jolla after my strep throat pains got worse every day. Fortunately, the doctors were able to treat me without an appointment, which made me feel quite relieved. They gave me antibiotics to eliminate the bacterial infection in my throat, which ultimately got rid of my pain and discomfort. I am now able to talk and function clearly at work. This was my first time visiting an urgent care facility. The staff at Urgent Care La Jolla actually took the time to listen to my problems and then came up with ideal solutions for how I should deal with them. What surprised me the most was how quickly I was in and out of the facility. Not only was it faster and cheaper than visiting the emergency room at the hospital, but the service was also better too.
