Don't get solar panels if you have Avista!!! They steal your banked credits every year. Wife and I got solar panels on our house over a year ago. We got our bill for the month of March and all the banked credits were gone. We called Avista to find out what's going on and they said that every year on March 31st they can legally take all your banked credits away thanks to the great idiot leaders of Washington State. Washington made it to where electrical companies can take away your credits every year. The electric companies don't have to, but Avista is greedy and will take them. On top of this the company wants to raise the rates because they say they're not making enough money. So if you're thinking about getting solar panels, don't.

The worst company. Our bill keeps going up and we are using less. They need to stop raising prices so people can afford to pay their bills. They hire a company to trim trees around power lines but they don't trim them they totally butcher your trees. To bad we don't have a choice

Honestly, if I'm gonna be honest with you, Avista is kinda Chile and the finna is gag, but overall I think they are doing their best, and they will continue to improve in the future. They are always welcome to do my electricity, it's actually one of my headcannons that they help customers against the evil. I ship Avista x Xfinity so I hope they can get through the hard times.

Two stars because at least you try and your in person customer service people actually do their jobs. Where you fail is online especially your presence on face book. If you really cared about we your customers you would not and I do mean ever block or censor us when we complain about your power outages etc. That not only is a violation of our first amendment rights but our rights as customers to voice our concerns and complaints/grievances to you the power company. Plus aren't you regulated by our tax payer fueled state and federal governments? You are bound by law to provide power/electric and natural gas services to many of your customers. Part of that contract or agreement includes just sitting there and taking the brunt of consumer/customer complaints. Deal with it and stop blocking people on your facebook pages. Did you ever think the reason they are complaining is they are tired of your aging grid and your lack of maintaining it? It's like you just do not care and it really shows.

Avista is yet again raising their prices. I used less gas and electricity through November than I did in February and it was still 40 dollars MORE and thats not including the offset of me using LESS. This months bill was rediculous and it stayed about 35 to 50 degrees in Novemer and we only have our 1100 sq home set to 66 and we have not done anything outside of our normal winter routine. This will become unaffordable and they plan on raising it again in 2025. I did some research and this is said to be funding new technology but once that is funded I doubt it will go back down. I confirmed with others that this is an across the board thing.
