Thank you so much to the kind, attentive, and caring staff of this wonderful hospital. I came there sick this morning, and while Iu2019m still battling my illness, I have absolutely no complaints as far as how I was treated in the Emergency Department. I came here out of refusal to ever go to ECU Greenville another day in my life, and Iu2019m so glad this staff seemed to actually want to do their jobs and CARE about people. I'm writing this as a retired RN. I know how the system should work and what to realistically expect.nAfter a bicycle crash with moderate soft tissue injury I went to Urgent Care Down East. The provider Dr Kim Smith ( who is an ED doc at ECU Health Beaufort) determined that I should have a CT and should be seen in the ED. After registration it was a 15 minute wait for triage, where labs and the CT were ordered. Joe the triage nurse very proficiently inserted the IV and drew the labs. Radiology was a 2 hour wait ( not unexpected) and after the CT it was about 45 minutes ( long enough for radiology to read and transcribe the findings) before I was placed in a ED room. Nurse Amy was top notch with the wound care. Dr G ( please don't ask me to spell her name)nwas very professional and upbeat. She stitched up my thumb quite well. And was diligent in her

Spent 5 days in ICU here and had the best and kindest nursing staff. I have been in the hospital 4 times over the last year and this was by far the best I have ever had. You could feel that they cared and wanted to make you better, physically and mentally.

I came back to change my review to 5 stars. All of the staff (everyone) was courteous, helpful and professional. My husband was actually content there and even enjoyed the food! He is usually restless and on edge but when I saw he was content I knew he was in good hands which was a huge relief for me after reading the reviews.

I had to leave at least 1 star to do review. My sister arrived here via ambulance who is a cardiac patient with chest pains. within 20 min they put her in er waiting room where it's 5 hours later which is full. I've seen 1 person go into treatment area. Her chest pains are getting worse but er attendant listens to me and that's as far as it goes. They are either understaffed or mismanaged. We came by ambulance so I only have so much time before cabs to get home will not be available. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Hopefully someone in hospital administration will read these which we will never know.
