Iu2019ve never heard anything good about the emergency room at Calvert Health. Always spoken so highly of this hospital because I was delivered in this hospital. But I left without a proper diagnosis just feeling so defeated. Waited for four hours to be told what I already knew (that I may have acute apendicitis) and that Iu2019d have to wait several more hours for the results of a CT. This was at 3 in the morning. All that has been done at this point was a urine test and blood was taken. As Iu2019m aware it was the middle of the night, pretty much every nurse I spoke to was rude, and the doctor acted as though she had something better to be doing. I waited four hours for a five minute conversation that gave me no further explanation to why Iu2019m having severe pain on the right side of my abdomen. On top of that I was denied an ultrasound, which Iu2019m 100% sure, can be used to diagnose appendicitis. It is absolutely disgraceful that the nurses and doctors see no problem in treating all of their patients this way and nothing is being done about it. And I know itu2019s all of the patients because there is nothing but bad reviews on here. I have not in my entire life heard anyone say anything good about this emergency room. Youu2019ll have better luck going to a veterinarian.

I arrived at the ER with difficulty breathing, and heaviness in my chest (my husband thought I was dying, as I was ashen in my face). The check-in staff were great, they took my info and wheeled me into the ER within minutes. All the staff were caring.nI was admitted (but had to stay in the ER as there were no beds upstairs, due to an influx of patients over the previous 2 weeks, which I did not mind).nI had a CT scan and various other tests, all administered by caring, courteous staff.nI cannot say enough good things about the medical staff at Calvert Health, I will choose that hospital over AAMC every time.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Got to the ER with girlfriend in need of care at 8:15p. Its currently 1a and she still hasnt been seen. Theres at least 5 security guards but apparently no doctors. Theres at least two other people that still need to be seen before us. I think they just hope you die before they see you.

I want to say Wow! I have a rare epilepsy condition and needed Emergency Services at this hospital. What a great job they did for me. I was admitted then the Level 3 Team continued with excellent care. I felt safe and respected by this hospital. They worked extremely well with the EMT Team said my family. I can't thank you enough.

Tradition. Quality. ProgressnCalvert Memorial Hospital seems more like Calvert Morgue. I wouldn't trust this place with my dog.nnTime and time again, this hospital continues to solidify its terrible reputation.nOnce again, another friend, who could and should have been saved, has tragically been lost due to the hospital's incompetence. I hope those responsible can sleep at night.nnIt is negligent that this hospital doesn't have a nephrologist, or kidney doctor on call or staff, wonder how many people you have killed by being a joke of a medical facility. Calvert County is the 13th Richest county in the entire Country.
