Very poor customer first mentality here. I was 30 minutes late for an appointment due to an accident on HWY 50 on 5-20-25. While sitting stopped on the HWY I attempted to call the office to explain why I would be late. After several recordings and 3 different operators I was only able to leave a message.nWhen I arrived I told the receptionist why I was late and a different receptionist said u201cI have been hearing about thatu201d. The initial receptionist said he would have to check if they could still see me. Keep in mind that I have never seen this doctor for more than 15 minutes in any of my prior visits.nThe receptionist returned to say I would have to reschedule and made another appointment for me in July.nAbsolutely no consideration for the time I took off work or for the issue that caused me to be late or for the difficulty I had trying to contact them at which point had I made contact they could have told me they could not see me if I was going to be that that.nThe receptionist and apparently the person he talked to could not have cared less and showed zero empathy to the situation.nIf this was a retail business they would be out of business.nWill have a chip on my shoulder dealing with this office anytime going forward

I found out a scheduler made a mistake when trying to change my appt with nurse practitioner Shirey. When I arrived for appointment today 2/13/25 I was told it was still set for next week and couldn't get me in. I was rear-ended and needed medical appt, but that didn't matter to receptionist, she wasn't helpful at all didn't appear she believed that their scheduler made error. It was more than an inconvenience for me since I cancelled another appt and my husband plowed the driveway so I could get there in the bad weather. After my complaint, the scheduler who made the error called to apologize. Carson Tahoe needs to improve their Training and customer service unless they want to continue losing clients. Maybe they don't really care.

Carson Tahoe rheumatology was able to schedule an appointment months sooner than any other area office (as a new patient, new diagnosis, lots of pain). The care I received has been excellent and thorough. I could not recommend them more. A year ago I could barely do daily tasks due to the pain- last week I hiked 12 miles on an overnight backpacking trip. Thank you Carson Tahoe Health.

Great place if you are keen on having your insurance, time, and patience milked to death. Your death literally as itu2019s a race between your body crapping out or your blood pressure soaring so high the only outcome can be a stroke over things so simple as getting a prescription renewed. The owners are either unaware or do not care that they are paying their employees to sit around and socialize all day rather than work. Their Healow app is a barely functioning joke, their u201clabu201d is nothing more than an infuriating time waster, and getting someone to answer the phone is in the same realm as winning the lottery. Save your precious time and money and put your health in capable handsu2026elsewhere..as Carson Tahoe health is not interested in anything other than paying lip service in order to get access to your wallet.

I was with Dr. Oksenholt for years. While she is an amazing physician (I canu2019t say enough great things about her), the office operations are awful. You can never get through to anyone on the phone, you canu2019t get same day appointments (even for emergencies), and if you call and leave a voicemail it takes at the minimum 3 days to hear back (if at all). Their billing is consistently wrong, I receive bills that have already been paid. Since you can never get through on the phone I decided to try messaging through the patient portal. Honestly I donu2019t know which is worse, you wonu2019t receive a call or message back in a timely manner either way. I would suggest finding a different provider within Carson City if you want a doctors office that actually provides patient services.
