Recently had my 5 year colonoscopy at UHS. The staff were great and had a wonderful sense of humor! The anesthesia they used was new to me. I've always had a bad reaction with anesthesia. This time it was some kinda short term stuff. I actually woke up just as they brought me to my room. They gave me a bran muffin and beverage. Got dressed and went home.nBiopsy results were in my favor, thank God!

On March 24, I injured myself, causing a slight tear in my calf muscle and rupturing a baker cyst. As a woman with numerous tattoos and a mom, I usually manage pain well. However, this pain was excruciating. I had previously undergone an MRI and an ultrasound. Currently, Iu2019m using a cam walker, but the pain persists.nnI reached out to my podiatrist, who had prescribed the cam walker and ordered the MRI. He advised me to visit the ER on April 11, 2024, to rule out DVT again and suggested testing for a compound syndrome due to my high pain level.nnFollowing his instructions, I went to the ER. The triage nurse was excellent. She documented my concerns and placed me in a room. I noticed Dr. Ruben was the doctor today, which I was pleased with since Iu2019m not a fan of Brenda Carr, who usually is on.nnDr. Ruben examined me and asked about my condition. I explained the long story, but he interrupted me, stating he needed immediate information. He asked about my current emergency. I informed him that I was still in pain and shared my podiatristu2019s recommendation. Dr. Ruben responded, u201cWhile we already have a diagnosis, thereu2019s a reason women are made to have babies. Youu2019ll just have to suck it up.u201dnnAt that point, I was ready to lash out, but I lacked the energy. Dr. Ruben did order an ultrasound to rule out DVT.nnAfter waiting, I received the ultrasound. Dr. Ruben returned and stated that he believed everything was fine. He advised me to endure the pain and prescribed naproxen.nnSo, I was discharged from the hospital, and I became curious about why my request for compartment syndrome testing had been denied. I went through my chart and reviewed the notes. Dr. Rubenu2019s exact notes were copied and pasted for my MRI results last week, with a few additional words. However, there was no mention of my podiatristu2019s recommendations, my concerns, or anything I had said.nnHe is just like Brenda Car, and I have no idea how this doctor still holds a medical license. He is rude, unprofessional, and makes you feel like youu2019re only there for a minor issue. He just wants to get you in and out. This isnu2019t my first complaint about Dr. Ruben. I genuinely wish the CMH would hire different doctors because these ones are a joke.nnEvery time I have to visit the hospital, I make sure to dismiss Brenda Car and request a new doctor. Now, Iu2019ll be doing the same with Dr. Ruben.nnWill be lucky if I even go there at all and I really wish CMH would take these reviews seriously . Because not all of us are there for bullshit reasons in there to get drugs.

My experience wasnu2019t so great . Iu2019m actually so disappointed the cardiologist . Dr Avany I saw suspected anxiety disorder more than trying to help me find ways with my condition. I literally wasted 30 min to be told I have anxiety . I have no anxiety whatsoever just because I might seem nervous itu2019s called being human normal reaction. I have a condition that I was diagnosed with I expressed my concerns and symptoms. As a Md doctor I would think you would listen to your patients and try to help them make a resolution. I guess because Iu2019m a female of color and Iu2019m young so why should anything be wrong with me? I clearly have proof in my records . Who wants something wrong with them ? It just gave off bias judgment. And he made me seem like Iu2019m a lier . I never experienced such in my life . Iu2019ll never return again.
