My daughter had a 24 hour EEG on the 7th floor. It was the worse stay ever. They never offered us anything the whole staynWe was told they had a game system and can bring some games to the room and not once did it happen. They never brought water to my daughter and the biggest thing was when they did a shift change they never introduced us to our new nurses. We had random nurses walking in who we didn't even know. It made our stay very uncomfortable because how do we know especially during the night that it's just not a random person. I can't even tell you any of the nurses names besides one. We was also told when scheduling it that my daughter could go to the play are as long as there is no other children in there which they wouldn't let her. It's not okay that a child has to be cooped up in a small room all day and night. Also my daughter was scared getting the EEG hooked up and was crying and the girl kept telling her to be quite that nobody or anything is hurting her. The whole time we was there I only seen the nurse twice in a 24 hour stay. Defiantly if you have a little one staying make sure you bring enough stuff to keep them busy. When I asked them and showed them what the paper work says all they told me was it had to be updated. This is supposed to be a children's hospital and it defiantly didn't feel kid friendly at all

Sent my 20 month old home 3 times with the wrong antibiotics refused to run tests until we demanded them our third time there. Ended up being MRSA that he contracted from surgery. Then come to find out at his follow up appt the Doctor from our previous visit gave us inaccurate after care steps to follow which have now worsened his incision. All around zero communication between the RNu2019s,NP and doctors. So grateful I trusted my motherly intuition and took my son back after they sent him home or he may not be here today. Very disappointed in the fact they showed pure negligence. I pray they learn from theses mistakes.

This is my sonu2019s 2nd overnight monitoring in the neurology department for an EEG. The staff are always so nice. My son was actually excited to come this second time because everyone was nice and helpful and provided a Wii system to play and Uno Cards. Kelsey was his nurse and she was amazing. Great energy. These people all just seem like they were born to work with kids.

We could not be more thankful for the experience we had with the Children's Hospital NICU. Our little girl had a rare birth defect (Gastroschisis) and our medical team at home sent us to Children's for a higher level of care. Children's did not disappoint. They worked with us well before our baby's delivery to establish a plan of care. When the big day came they were running like a well oiled machine bringing our little girl into this world, and quickly getting her into surgery and ensuring each part of her recovery went as smoothly as possible. I hope no one ever has to stay in the NICU, but if you do, Children's will do their best to make your stay short and provide excellent care for your baby.

We were referred to Childrenu2019s for my sonu2019s speech therapy. With the referral I assumed we would pay the specialty doctor copay. Well, I was wrong.nnFirst of all, they bill us $1,400 for about 35 minutes of face to face time. The bill said 55 minutes but we were left in the room for about 20 minutes while the person charted everything and grabbed us some print outs. Our out of pocket is about $1,200. $1,200 for someone to tell us what I already know - heu2019s got a lisp and needs therapy.nnSecond, they refuse to back out the insurance payment so we can get a cash discount. Absolutely refuse. They told me two things over and over again - I should have asked what the cost was ahead of time and because it was in a hospital it was considered an outpatient hospital visit.nnThey offered financial assistance but we donu2019t qualify. They were of absolute no help and had no compassion whatsoever.nnWe will never visit a Childrenu2019s EVER AGAIN. Their attitude is Too bad, so sad, we DONu2019T care, pay us or weu2019ll send it to collections.
