They care for your kids like their own and we were blessed to have the support we needed for our daughter. Our daughter was recently diagnosed with T1D, and we were admitted to Childrenu2019s and stayed a week. We had multiple doctors through our stay, but the two who remained by my daughteru2019s side was Dr. Dan and Jeremy! We will never forget the two of you! The support and care you gave was a blessing! Also a huge thank you to Dr. Alonso with Barbra Davis center!

We receive exceptional care @Children's Hospital Colorado Anschutz. Our daughter's care in the ER, PICU, and on the floor was amazing. The drs. and nurses who provided care were knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we understood what was happening. We had ample say in the care our daughter received. The clinic Drs. we see are top notch. Our daughter is in a much better place in just 6 months. Everyone involved in our daughters health has been incredibly nice, helpful and nothing short of amazing.

I was scheduled at 2 pm but was told to come in at 12 to prepare for my sterilization surgery. The nurses and people at the desk were kind. But when they told my mom she couldn't go back with me because my brother is a minor that couldn't go back or be left alone, they were acting as if we were being rude. It wasn't really a big deal at first but of course it would have been nice to have my family be there to comfort me. Then I got told I wouldn't go in until 2 hours after my original scheduled time. I was getting overwhelmed and since I have POTS I asked for some salt around 4 pm because I was starting to feel lightheaded. I heard the nurses all talk about how it was odd I asked for salt. Which surprised me that they hadn't encountered someone else with POTS before me. I was in that hospital for 6 hours. I understand it probably would have been 4 hours if I had gone in when I was scheduled. But it was still a very long overwhelming day. When I was put in the recovery room multiple people came out and told my family they could come back and see me completely forgetting then rules that we were told beforehand. My mom then reminded them multiple times that they were told they couldn't. I'll be honest I don't understand the rule to begin with but they said it was put in place during COVID. I did preface and say my brother is a well behaved kid and wouldn't be disruptive, but obviously that meant nothing. I hope in the future they time things out better so no one has to wait like I did going all day without food sitting in a room anxious about the procedure ahead. Especially with a procedure that requires someone to wait for you to get out to take you home. I was not the only one inconvenienced. Other than all of that I'm healing well, and glad I got the surgery done.

Our child was seen for an unexpected burn injury. We knew we were in the right hands from the beginning. Very thankful to Dr. Molten for his skin graft work and for the amazing support staff. The things these heroes see on a day to day basis is no walk in the park. Theyu2019re basically first responders AND long term care providers. They deserve all the props. We only had one negative interaction involving pain management so my two cents to other parents is to unabashedly advocate for your child and for thorough communication, because this is a subject some nurses just try to shut you down on. Otherwise - Thankful for all they have done for our child and would recommend to anyone who has the heartbreaking misfortune of becoming a burn mom or dad.

The emergency room was more like an urgent care. Checked in at 12:30 am in the middle of the night. really crowded and it took us three hours to be seen after we called and spoke to a triage nurse ahead of time. who told us we had a legitimate emergency. The waiting room was not clean. There was blood on one of the seats next to us medical trash everywhere like the finger oxygen monitors, masks, and medical gloves. When we got back to be seen by the nurse practitioner, it was clear that the room had not been cleaned properly from the patient prior. The baby dropped her pacifier and it landed behind the bed. Obviously, we didnu2019t pick it up, but there were several used medical gloves from what we could tell. Scary. The food and snack area was really overpriced. There are not any notices as to when the hot food area would be closed. The coffee machine and tea area were not serviced and the filter needed to be replaced on the commercial coffee machine, but there was no one around to service it. if you could imagine, we had been up for over a day with a really sick and screaming baby and were in desperate needed coffee or some kind of caffeine. $ paid for overpriced snacks. Someone walked up and just stole out of the open area snack place. so much for having Security everywhere or cameras. What Iu2019m assuming was the main area entrance was not being monitored and anybody could walk in. this was a bigger issue because the back door to the emergency room wasnu2019t being monitored and all you had to do was waive your hand and push the door open. The security guard didnu2019t even look up to see if you had a badge or to check an ID. It seems like an incident waiting to happen. ufeff took us three hours to get seen, and another two hours to be told to basically deal with it after being told by the Childrenu2019s triage nurse to come in. Really awful experience with a sick baby. This was our second time here in less than a month. The first time, our baby got COVID at daycare. The second time was for a new virus with a steady 104 degree fever going on three days. I did like the nurse and the nurse practitioner we saw, but the NP quoted some survey that I looked up when we got home and I couldnu2019t find. Would have liked a reference since it was the basis for what she was recommending.
