I am a mother and a physician. My young daughter was hospitalized here for several days with a serious illness, and I stayed with her the entire time. While I appreciate the medical efforts made to care for her, I felt deeply dismissed and unsupported as a parent.nnOne of the most difficult parts of this experience was the complete lack of consideration for the accompanying parent. The only place provided to rest was an old, extremely hard plastic recliner that doesnu2019t even lean back. You slide down constantly, and after hours, the discomfort becomes unbearable.nnThis is already an emotionally and physically exhausting situation. To be stuck for 24 hours a day in such furniture while trying to stay present, calm, and strong for your sick child is nothing short of torture.nnI truly hope this hospital reflects not only on medical care but also on the basic dignity and support needed by the families who are going through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

Admitting and xray registration - Nicole is not professional whatsoever. My son and I walked in. Nicole immediately said Have a seat and I'll call you up, no Hello or Good Evening. Nicole then called my 18 yr old son to desk/window #3. She talked to him very demeaning. I don't think she would have spoken to him like that had I accompanied him at the desk/window. It was far from a pleasant experience. As a new young adult I give him every opportunity to take of business on his own however I try to be with him for his questions or concerns. This type of treatment he received from Nicole is typical nowadays but certainly not necessary. Be kind it takes the same effort.

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WITH A HOSPITAL.nnAbsolutely horrible place for children to be. My child had a terrible incident that happened to her. They just sat there as her HR was passed 210 and BP high as well. Her lacerations were not cleaned, no meds were administered, nothing. We sat there like sitting ducks for 7 hours with multiple requests for help. It was a head trauma, youu2019d think that would be a priority because it involves the head, but no. The nurses and doctors came in the room multiple times to pull off equipment off my my daughters machines and just gathered other materials for other rooms.. not a word. Oh.. also while my daughter is screaming u201cweu2019re gonna shut your door because we have a trauma next dooru201d like WHAT?? Youu2019ve got to be kidding me. I will say there was one RN that stepped up and gave her pain meds and did what he could, then discharged us. So shout out to him! To the others, they could go and kick rocks.nnI hope no one goes through this.
