This is a flop house. I stayed at this recovery home for roughly three months. Their aim is to overbill your insurance by false claims to provide dual diagnoses treatment (mental health and addiction) and a number of other services that simply do not exist, and pacify the clients by providing a temporary roof over their head. After contributing the majority of your state food assistance to a household food fund, you receive about $5 worth of food a day, at specific times, out of a fridge kept under lock and key. All funds they receive, in any form, are misappropriated, or embezzled. Primarily due to careless and negligent staff, and the lack of resources provided, the majority of residents are still in active addiction, and those who are not are heavily influenced to use. When my mother finally convinced me, I visited another place, and made an inquiry, to see if I could get any real help there. Upon coming back that evening, I was promptly told to leave, as the other facility had requested to see what funding was available from my insurance to help me with counseling, and Choices feared they would no longer be able to bill my insurance for THAT SINGLE service. After a brief period of homelessness, I was accepted into the other halfway house, and have been clean two years now. Bottom line is, if you truly want better for yourself, do not go here. If you just want to continue using, and not sleep outside for a short while, maybe this is for you.

This place seemed like it was legit and was about helping and cared for theyu2019re patients however after the first couple months they made promise after promise that I would get the counseling and mental health that I need but they never called me. I talked to a counselor 2 times out of the over 6 months I went there. I had set backs because I had nobody to talk to. All they care about is getting money from the insurance but not giving the service that the insurance paid for. Dont go here itu2019s a waste of time. They have lost theyu2019re way from the Mission they started out with. Dr. G you need to get out of that place You have your heart in the right place but the people running that place have become jaded and corrupt and I wonu2019t be coming back.
