My doctor is Dr. Ratley and she is very thorough and gets right to the point her new nurse is on point and they take transcripts and manage all of the details rather well. She takes care of me and my whole family and all of our complications. She is very friendly and we have a great conversation about the family every time I come and I would recommend her to anyone, Peds, adults or geriatrics. They do labs and most scans onsite and occasionally if they are not busy they pull you in from urgent care if youu2019re sick.

I have been a patient at New Bern Family Practice with Dr Ratley since 2007. Dr Ratley is beyond wonderful! She listens to what I have to say and Iu2019m not saying we have agreed all the time but if we agree to disagree she explains why she believes her way would be best. After all I do not have medical degree, she does.nThe patient portal is a great tool to use for prescription refills or questions back to the doctor. I use this probably more than I should but she (or Nurse Diane) respond.nI can not find anything negative about this practice. The doctors and nurses are professionals who sincerely care for their patients. And that makes them feel a little like family.

If I could leave zero I would. Had an appointment for DOT physical. Got here 10 minutes early only to be told I couldn't be seen because I had to be 30 minutes early! Was never given that information. According to the secretary, the provider refused to see me.nnWhy not make the appointment for 30 minutes earlier then?!nnThis appointment was very important to me, as I'm trying to get a spot in a first come first serve class so time was of the essence. I am so genuinely upset at the way I was treated and I can barely even believe it. I don't know what else to say except thanks for nothing, and I hope you enjoyed watching me cry in the lobby and your parking lot.

I transferred to New Bern from upstate NY in 2015 and have had zero issues being seen. My records were easily transferred from NY, and the care has always been exceptional. They're privately owned and operated, always clean and organized, and have a vast system of providers in several offices throughout the area. Sure, the wait time in UC can be long sometimes, but, it's one of the most favored(and few) UC facilities in the area, so everyone will go there. Scheduling online before hand helps with the wait time, and allows for individuals to be able to get other things done rather than sitting in a waiting room for hours like other facilities.nI give 4 stars because they're human, and are far from perfect. The occasional issues I have had over the years are far less than the ones I haven't had.
