My 3 week old grandson was a patient for 5 days. The emergency dept. was fabulous and quick. Then all the staff on the 5th floor could not have been better. They were so attentive to the baby as well as his parents. We all felt so relaxed knowing he was getting the best care!

We were here with an emergency surgery and spent a good while in the hospital and had many many many follow up visits!nnEveryone was so nice and the facilities are wonderful. The art throughout was beautiful. The shops and restaurants are so good and the grounds are beautiful. There was plenty of room in his room and comfortable chairs and a bed for the parent to stay. There was a shower and bathroom that were nice in the private room. The hospital food was very good. Clowns came to the room and they had a library cart that came to the room as well. It was very clean and there were plenty of plugs available to charge phones everywhere.nnMost importantly my son got top notch care from amazing doctors and medical professionals. They not only saved his life but they saved his hand and arm and with plastic surgery it looks and works just as good as new.nnWe are so grateful for all they did.

Can't even put into words how thankful I am for the Cook Children's Neuro team. Dr Shahani was there the entire way and helped get my son with FCD epilepsy on the right combo of medications to slow down the amount of seizures he was having a day. He also led us on the Phase 1 journey for Neurosurgery. Thankful for him!!nnAlso thankful for Dr Chris Hansen who's neurosurgery skills changed my sons life for the better. There were many nights of tears and prayers and hoping one day my baby would have a normal life. Epilepsy took my child away. Made him angry, mean, and a completely different person. After his surgery in December of 2024 he not only has had 0 seizures and is being weaned off medicine, but I have my child back! His behavior now is complete opposite and he is so loving and joyful.nnI owe both these Doctors so much and thank God everyday that they were placed in our lives for our Epilepsy journey.nnThank you Dr. Shahani and Dr. Hansen. Ya'll are real life superheroes.
