Every single nurse I had an encounter with was amazing! They knew I was a little upset I had to stay the night. Wanted to go home asap but they calmed me down and took great care of me, a few of them gave me a huge hug before they left their shift for the day! I appreciate you all more than you know. Thank you so much for taking care of me and making me feel so comfortable.

I had my 3rd birth here and it was my best experience so far. The entire nursing staff were wonderful and really showed that they care about their patients. If I had to redo the experience, I wouldn't change a thing. Every one that took care of myself and my baby were amazing and I wish all nurses were like the women working here.

Donu2019t get admitted to this hospital! Youu2019ll share a room with another patient. Your call bell will barely get answered. The customer service towards patients is absolutely terrible. The Doctors make you starve waiting on tests that arenu2019t even set yet or in the system. They let you sit in admitting-floors with any information of what their next steps are for your care.If you were on your dying breath they donu2019t accommodate for you to see your young family members including 4 month old babies. This hospital does not accommodate to see grandchildren in another room away from other patients. Even if your not life threatening they refuse to let you leave the floor to go in a different part of hospital to see your grandchildren. UofM hospital would never do thisThey literally have no concept of being the best hospital in Michigan. They are the worst!

I'm writing this from a husbands point of view.nnCovenant Medical Center Harrison is where my daughter, Payton, was born. We had a scheduled c-section and the procedure went as planned. She's very healthy and thriving being just over a week old.nnNow, Harrison wasn't at all bad. There were some instances that I didn't care for and attitudes from staff that could change. For the most part, everyone was very helpful!nnIn our first room, the nurses were helpful to my wife and she was able to feel relaxed before the procedure. At this time, there were multiple nurses coming in and out, asking questions. My wife's doctor came in and talked a little with her to calm her down as much as possible. As a husband, i felt she was in good hands.nnDuring her procedure, I was able to sit right next to her after they prepped the c-section. Everyone was super nice and attentive to both my wife, me, and our baby! After, we went to our recovery room where two nurses asked questions to my wife as she held our baby. They were very nice!nnAfter the recovery room (on the 4th floor) we went to the 3rd floor to the room we we're going to stay in overnight. My wife's mother was able to be with us since they allowed only two support persons. The room was a little small, but we made it work!nnThe nurses did their best to keep my wife comfortable and not overwhelmed. There were a couple nurses that seemed to be in a bad mood at points but, for the most part, most had good attitudes. The nurses that we had during the day and night were really attentive to my wife's needs.nnThe last day is why I've left a four star rating. Unfortunately, there were a few nurses that seemed to rush us out of the hospital. My wife just underwent a major surgery and was still having a hard time walking on her own. We stayed two nights but she could've definitely used a third. The nurse during the day was adament in getting us out asap. They brought down release papers so we could sign them. Once we decided that we were okay with leaving, I packed all of our things into the vehicle and pulled it up to the front of the building. What was disappointing to see was that we walked down the hallway and all the way out to our vehicle without one nurse asking if we would like to have a wheelchair. My wife, who underwent a major surgery two days prior, just walked down a hallway and out to our vehicle in pain. No one seemed to care and it felt like they were happy we finally left. I know for a fact, that in the past, mothers who had a c-section would have had the option to be taken out in a wheelchair. Nurses need to be more attentive to this. This is my only major problem.nnOverall, it's a great place to have your baby. I love the memories that we had together and wouldn't take them back! The food was a big plus too! If you ever go here, make sure you get the Orange Sherbet Shake! It'll change your world!nnAlso, there's pictures of what's in the cafeteria if you'd like to know before going down!
