American Family Care Urgent Care Center is the go to emergency medical spot for Hartford and West Hartford.I recently had a major incompetent glitch with quest diagnostics blood draw, so I called AFC as an alternative. A woman named Samantha picked up the phone on the third ring and said she was the office manager, and happy to help me in any way.NOT a robot and NOT an answering machine, I knew immediately that I had chosen the right place for my blood work. Sam turned out to be the leader of an incredible pack of employees, with Jocelyn as her Ally and partner in Admin.I walked in at 7:00 p.m. and was greeted by Jasmine and Fatima who were scrambling at the end of the day. Jaz was on the front desk, doubling as phlebotomist, and she drew my blood efficiently, serving also as patient care all at once , while Fatima finished all paperwork of the day.2 days later I got a call to review my labs from Felipe' who I thought sure was the resident doctor he was so good. Extremely competent as a PA, so confident, and consoling about my blood work.I called the next day to get the printed results and a whole new team was there to follow through. Keto answered the phone with a smile. Meanwhile Gabby was manning the desk, and handling a lot of the details. Jess was bubbly, multi- operational and totally on point, as she finished up with me and prepared the documents. She sent all the results to my Health Center, made sure they went direct to my psychiatry Dept in Manchester. She gave me all the proper instructions how to return, to come back anytime, for any health needs. Jess truly was like an angel behind a medical desk.Overall, I am amazed at this entire outfit at AFC Urgent Care. You'll find it front and center, right on the corner of Boulevard and Prospect Ave, tucked in next to CVS. It will be like your new medical care gift package, and all you need to do is stop in to feel the love!!JS

Made an appointment for 510, asked up at 5. Waited an hour and kept getting bumped back, people that came in after me went in before me, new estimated time to see a doctor was 650 so I left. No point in making an appointment if people have to wait 2 hours/ let others skip the line

Went in there and was seen in a timely manner but my antibiotic that was supposedly sent to my pharmacy never got there. I called a handful of times, spoke to someone once who said they would tell the provider to send my Rx. Called a couple of times a couple of hours later because still no medication at my pharmacy and no answer. I had to drive back to this urgent care to insist on a written Rx. I had strep throat, was not feeling good at all and still had to go through all that. Such a frustrating experience, especially when not feeling good at all!

Went there the lady was not helpful at all, she told us to register using the phone she was not even willing to check for the insurance information on her screen after waiting she told us she can not book the appointment because I did not enter insurance information, ended up leaving going straight to the Emergency Room where they have all the insurance information and they can checked just with my name and DOB!! What is the point on having a lady sitting there all day is she is not willing to HELP anyone!!! Saw the same issue with anybodyu2019s who comes here! Please ud83dude4f put someone reliable that is willing to assist patients.

I would rate my experience a perfect 10/10. The staff was friendly, professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful. From the young lady at the desk to the gentlemen who serviced me and the team thatu2019s helping them. The self-check-in technology, along with features like adding my own insurance and tracking my position on the waitlist, was outstanding. Additionally, scheduling or canceling an appointment was very straightforward. No loops, hurdles or waiting for a person - itu2019s at your fingertips. As a business owner I wish this was my concept because this business model can service a large body of people like this community and make a ton of profits while making positive change.!The team at this office ensured I had all the necessary information, allowing me to get back to enjoying my Sunday in under an hour. A tremendous thank you.
