Healthcare has really changed. Are Providers relying on radiology reports instead of doing an assessment? I went to the ER because my finger was split open. The doctor comes into my room about 30 - 45 mins after I was sent to the room and says you don't have any broken bones and there's nothing we can really do for you. He made this statement without looking at my actual finger. Then he decides to look at my finger and sees that my finger is SPLIT OPEN. Then says, oh yeah you need stitches. I don't know what has happened to healthcare where Providers are solely relying on radiology reports instead of doing a physical assessment with their own eyes. When I worked at Abington's ER, the Providers would come into the room within 10 mins to introduce themselves. Is this no longer a practice in the hospital?? But I will say that the nurses were nice.

I went in for appendicitis. They took excellent care of me. They treated me overnight and managed my pain and administered treatement for the infection. They sent me to outpatient surgery the following morning. The staff were awesome. They took great care of me.

Worse than Pottstown hospital! Went here with a cut hand and Dan did a botched job stitching it. Now I have serious issues opening my hand. Never saw a doctor, had a lot of issues during triage, was sent to the wrong room and charged $500 for a tetanus shot that I was told is free. Never received a bill but they charged my insurance for 2 people, ugh

Arrived Tuesday morning 5 8am to roughly 5 people in the waiting lobby at triage. Was called into triage fairly quick, had bloodwork done etc, then went back out to wait. Waited for 3 hours and several people came in and were taken back into the hospital before I was. 1145 ish finally put in a room, was given some medicine and then quickly moved to another seating area out by the lobby where I stayed the remainder of the time in a reclining chair until 4:30 in the afternoon. The pain that I have from sitting in that single, uncomfortable chair for so long is still with me Wednesday afternoon and it hurts to move more then when I went to begin with. The only saving grace were the couple nurses that came to help me.

This was my first time going here. I went there for chest pain and heart palpitations, and I had a great experience there with the doctors and nurses. Everyone was very friendly, and I did not feel like I was dismissed or not taken seriously with how I was feeling and the symptoms I was experiencing. They were thorough with explaining what they thought i was experiencing and were very patient with me. The ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and kind. The wait time was also very short. I am very glad I went here and not another ER.
