I went to the Penfield Road Urgent Care on December 28, 2024 around 5:00 PM.nI was very impressed with the staff beginning with the receptionist who was very kind and accommodating on a day when the facility was extremely busy. The nurse who took my infirmary and vitals was attentive and very personable. I am not sure if the young man who diagnosed me was a physician or a nurse practitioner. He was exceptional! He sent my prescription to my pharmacy immediately as he was concerned that they were about to close and I would have to wait to get the prescribed medication.

They are slow and they call people out of order. They try to force vaccines and medicine on you even after you explain that donu2019t believe in vaccines and explain that you get violently sick from them. They ask the same question over and over they still believe in Covid and have shields up and they all still have masks on. They try to scare you into medicines and vaccines

I am so disappointed in my treatment by the provider last night.nnI went in with tremors, couldn't lift my arms, severe headache and face pain, high blood pressure, and visual hallucinations, and nausea.nnFront desk staff, techs and nurses were amazing to me. I couldn't lift my arms, they helped. Were compassionate toward me. THEY SAW IT.nI was twitching walking in! I couldn't walk. I couldn't keep my head up. I was so light headed I thought I'd hit the floor. Struggled to sign my name on the paperwork. By the time the doctor got to me (I understand wait times. Im not mad about that), the twitching had subsided, and I was getting feel back in my arms.nnBy the time he walked in though, I was HALLUCINATING. (Asked if I was on drugs, which I understand. But pretty much the ONLY THING he briefly documented). Didn't bother with blood work. Didn't even mention the possibility of a migraine in my paperwork. You wrote my diagnoses as NAUSEA.nnGuess what. My doctor discovered by b12 was EXTREMELY LOW today, and immediately got ahold of me when results came back.nnThe Urgent Care Provider refused to send me home with anything than nausea meds. My head was pulsating! I said i cant take nsaids orally. He told me tylenol. I told him I've already taken too much for the day. He blew me off and said tylenol. Said maybe it's a viral infection. I had no cold like symptoms.nnI got home and after a 5 min google research, I realized it went through ALL FOUR STAGES OF A MIGRAINE. My PCP immediately said Migraine when i explained it to him today (same story is gave your UC Provider, btw!) I didnt even suggest it to him. He immediately offered me some relief, and ordered tests.nnThe Urgent Care Provider made me feel like he didn't believe me, and that I was drug seeking and wasting his time. He didn't even include half the symptoms I reported in the documentation, and focused on nausea so he could get me out.nnI wasn't seeking opiates. If you were so worried about that, then run a drug test! Open up Psyches and see if I've been med shopping!!! I would have consented to that. He didn't even offer me Toradol (which I would have been thrilled with, and not a control!) Had you asked, you would have known I HATE opiates and would have refused them for something else. I cried my whole way home. I've never been so disappointed in a U of R location. I will not be going to this location again.nnI don't know if he was making assumptions about me, hates his job, or is unknowledgable, but I am so unimpressed.

The nurse was kind and warm. The PA gave off u201cI couldnu2019t care lessu201d and felt dismissive. I understand she must have a lot of people to see but to not have any kind of decent bedside manner is incredibly frustrating. Her attitude was off putting and I left feeling I shouldnu2019t have bothered coming in the first place even though I really did not feel well and had to leave work. Iu2019m going to find a new place to go. This was my final time going here and feeling like crap.

I walked up to the door at 7:26pm on a Saturday evening and was turned away. It advertises that is closes at 8pm. Very disappointed. Will take my business elsewhere going forward. Extremely sick and now still sick and also saddened by this experience.
