The whole medical staff at this facility has been nothing short of amazing. When no other doctors listened we rushed the baby here having a seizure. The swift action of the emergency room, the niceness of every employee in the scariest time for us , the intake nurse's held and rocked the baby to sooth her. They absolutely went above and beyond regular care at a hospital. Thank you to the wonderful staff at MCH for fixing our baby

Went into the emergency after collapsing and having uncontrollable vomiting, dizziness, and not being able to walk. Staff immediately ruled out stoke with a half hearted test. Never ran an MRI and left me for u201cobservationu201d (put me in a room and never coming to check on me) I never saw a real doctor the entire time I was in the hospital. It was disgustingly dirty and unsanitary. The staff was not following proper procedure and rarely even wore gloves. Family had to inform staff that I had not had food or liquids the whole time when they tried to give me a second IV (still charged me for the second bag even though it was never administered) had to request to leave after the terrible experience. Staff did not even assist in me leaving the hospital even though I couldnu2019t even walk. Had to have family drag me out of the hospital after the staff was extremely rude and refused to help and just ignored us. And the cherry on top is the outrageous prices they charged me for the terrible service. And also failing to catch that I had cerebellar infarcts. I had to go to a specialist and request an MRI to finally find out what happened and now Iu2019m stuck with a massive bill from a hospital that did nothing but use me and my insurance to make a quick buck. Never going to this hospital again!

My sister is currently in the hospital. Gosh thereu2019s so much improvement needed she is currently on the 6th floor & has cancer. Most of the nursing staff are rude as well as lazy & can be heard from the nurses station cursing about patients they donu2019t allow access to the condiment station & example 1 previously asked for assistance with a coffee around 6am the nurse had responded to my sisteru2019s husband it should be coming on the tray in a little while. Example 2 He has not been offered a guest tray example ( he has been with her for 7 days now) 3 the guest recliner is broke on the arm rest & recliner position is broken therefore my brother-n-law has to sleep sitting up. He asked for another recliner at the nurses station & the nurse said she try to locate one for him. Another nurse replied thereu2019s a broken one in she said a room # then another nurse said yeah thereu2019s another broken one in & she said a different room # then another one chimed in stating the same. Example 4 There is no heater in the bathroom & feels like a refrigerator he asked for assistance with it & they have yet to come in and address it. Donu2019t get me wrong there are 1 or 2 nurses that have been going above & beyond but for the most of it has been a very bad experience. I can certainly understand why this hospital has a C rating. If you only care about a paycheck then you shouldnu2019t be a nurse!

Here on the 6th floor with my Non-Verbal father. He's got alarms going off on his machines for over 30 mins! Nobody comes to check on him. He pushes the help button and the nurse asks my NON-VERBAL dad if he needs anything. Instead of going to check on him they ignore him. He has throat cancer that causes him to bleed, he got a nosebleed so I go ask for wipes and tell the nurses so they can check on him. She comes back with 2 boxes of tissues and a pack of gauze hands it to me and walks away. I understand that nurses get busy and stuff is going on but I'd like for them to just give a damn a little bit more. That would go a long way. Oh and when he was flown back in from Austin I was never called or notified by MCH that he was there or what room he was in. And yes I've already called the number and left a message.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I took my 2 month old baby who had RSV and they sent us home two times. The second time, an ER nurse who couldnu2019t even properly check is blood pressure was very rude and told me u201che looks great to me. You can go sit in the waiting area itu2019ll be a long waitu201d (there was NO one there. It was 5am).nI trust my instincts on MY baby and that nurse and the rest of the staff was very dismissive.nWe ended up making a 2 HOUR DRIVE with our sick baby because of how AWFUL the care is at MCH for babies/children. We were immediately admitted for low oxygen.nMCH failed my baby boy and didnu2019t care to listen. Shame on them.
