I just wanted to take a moment to say that the joint team that worked with my husband when he had to have a hip replacement they were so prepared so helpful to help me to know how to take care of things ahead of time that Jamie I believe the head of the team the nurse who put things together + the team they were absolutely amazing. Also the staff that worked with my husband when he got back after his hip replacement were all so kind and helpful . I can say that's the greatest quality of care that was so appreciated. Dr Dominick was his surgeon on July 25, 2024 . Thank you everyone for your help.

My mom was in the ICU. It was an amazingly horrible experience. My mom had metastatic breast cancer and she was in for C02 build up. She was being treated by Fox Chase Cancer center and had been told she could get better. I had never been told the stage of her cancer maybe my mother had kept it from me but before arrival she had a positive PET scan after 2 months of treatment the cancer was not growing and a good chest X-ray on fluid build up. However the fluid build up had now returned. While there the first day the C02 build up had caused my mom to be incredibly confused and she was receiving morphine. The PA in the ICU had known my mother for less than an hour but felt the need to call me and let me know that my mother was only receiving treatment for cancer because of me. How you figure that out with a confused patient i am not sure. I had never heard her say anything like that before. In fact we together had been trying lots of things to get her better. After going in to see her she had no idea where she was or what was happening but the PA tried to make me have a conversation with my mother as to continuing treatment when she didnu2019t even know where she was. I called her cancer doctor and her pulmonologist who both talked about future treatment options. I called the head doctor to explain about my frustration with the PA. I saw him once in which he told me he had talked to my cancer doctor and she wanted to continue her cancer treatments. That was the extent of his interaction with me. Then the rest of the time I saw one more PA which when I finally had a conversation with my mom and asked to see her never came to talk to me. I had waited in the hopes my mother would get lucid enough to tell me what she wanted. Not one doctor explained to me what their thoughts or concerns were. They gave me no diagnosis and didnu2019t run any tests after the first two days there. After agreeing with the PA to give her a few hours to let the morphine wear off to find out her wishes the nurse refused to put the AVAP back on so she could be comfortable. He insisted my mom tell him what she wanted which she was unable to do. Eventually after 3 days she died in their care. It was a horrible experience.

The care from the team from intake to Dr. Reed was above and beyond. In the scariest time away from my home to be given such care was incredible. At my worst Dr. Reed, Jim, and everyone truly treated me with such kindness and care that I was at ease.

This pertains to your practices regarding the My Chart access. The whole, you can't access your newly 18 year old daughter's chart (but you are required to pay for all her care), is nonsense. Just got off the phone with one of your tech support people because the information you have on file is inaccurate (and her recovery is MY old e-mail address with my name on it) and they won't change it and won't give me any information. Even when I said fine, just send a recovery password in the mail they won't... because maybe I may get this info and try to steal her...appointment schedule. But...it's OK to bill me and expect me to pay for all her medical costs. You are Ridiculous!
