I am absolutely disgusted with this place. Dr. Maskell was horrific and his nurse was horrible. My son is on the spectrum and going to the doctor absolutely terrifies him. But when a child has strep on a Sunday what else do you do. What other choice is there but to go to the doctor. I go in with him crying and everyone looks in disgust. He fights not wanting to go in the door and one nurse actually wheels her chair back to stare. The nurse ask is there something medically wrong with him I said yes he's being evaluated for autism. She responds yep I thought that was it she didn't show him any kind of affection and I took his temperature myself. The doctor comes in with a look of disgust on his face and while looking in his ears and my son crying he very hatefully says is he always like this what's wrong with him! It took everything in me to hold it together and get out of that place. They all watched as we left. Being older doctors and nurses they should definitely be educated in autism spectrum disorder. If they can't do that what can they do and what do they even know. My child is amazing and smart. Hes usually a happy child. Just terrified of doctors. He can read people. Learn to do better.

I have gone to The Exigent for a long time now, and I used to always have a good experience with both the nurses and doctors. I went today with a small issue with an infection and both the nurse and the doctor (who has worked there for quite some time now, and used to be very friendly) were quite rude and short with me. The nurse with red hair is VERY rude by the way. The office staff was still very nice and courteous though. That was the only decent part of my visit.

Have been going to Wade Hampton Exigent for over 10 years now, although I have a primary care physician Wade Hampton Exigent is my first choice if I need care on the weekends or choose to skip the long wait time for an appointment at my primary. From accidentally stepping on a board of full of nails to a painful kidney stone Dr. Alexander and Dr. Maskell have always provided fantastic effective care and treatment.
