Extremely disappointed in how my appointment was handled. I made a PCP appt almost 2 months ago for a new patient first time appointment. I check my patient portal, email reminders, and the calendar hold I saved after initially booking the appointment. They all have the same address listed 43300 Southern Walk Plaza Ste 100 Ashburn, VAu2026 I plug it into my GPS and get on my way. As Iu2019m arriving I look up the doctor Iu2019m meeting with and realize it says Leesburg-Cornwall listed as her office so I immediately call the phone # listed on all my confirmations (Southern Walk location). They tell me no sheu2019s not at their location sheu2019s in Leesburg?! I look up the address and ask the woman if she call over there to let them know of the mistake their scheduler made and Iu2019m on my way ASAP. Which is another 25mins away and she tells me the policy is that I have to get there no later than 15mins past my appointmentu2026 totally would understand that if I was at fault here.nnI rush over to Leesburg as itu2019s pouring down rain and show up at literally 10:47am (appt was at 10:30am). The doctor, Dr. Sara Dusing, tells the front desk staff I need to reschedule and I canu2019t be seen today!! I was shocked that they would turn me away for THEIR mistake. I spent the better part of an hour driving around to get to the right place. And I canu2019t tell you how many times Iu2019ve sat in a doctoru2019s office well past when my appointment was scheduled for waiting. When itu2019s no fault of your own youu2019re late itu2019s infuriating they could care less! No accountability, no apology, nothing. Needless to say Iu2019m not planning to be a new patient here after this.

It was such an amazing visit. My Son has special needs and its almost impossible to get a blood draw from him. It went really well, the nurse who did it was so patient and kind, and got it done. Dr Hertzel is awesome with my Son as well, and the overall staff is very kind and accommodating. thanks for your great service.

Dr. Dusing is amazing. She never rushes my appointments, listens well, and gets to the source of my issue without blowing off any concerns. All the nurses and staff I've encountered in the office have been great too. That being said, sometimes the staff on the phone can be rude and judgmental, especially in regards to situations that are really only relevant to me and my doctor. Others have been kind and helpful.

I've been going to LSFP for over 20 years and have rarely had anything but a 100% positive experience. Dr Hetzel is my primary physician and he is always patient and thoroughly answer any questions and/or addresses concerns in a thoughtful and considerate manner.
