If I could give zero stars I would. Iu2019ve gone to this place a handful of times and had a welcoming experience. Not todayu2026 the NP on duty had the front desk lady take my temp and give me a Covid and flu test. Keep in mind. When I walked into the establishment I could barely walk, I had chills, I was shaking, body aches, dizziness a terrible cough and felt very disoriented. The temp came back as 97.9.. the front desk lady asked me if I had taken any meds I said yes I took desylm DM and ibprophen about an hour ago. She said okay thatu2019s probably why your temp is coming backThat way. I said okay. The NP comes in the room and I asked her what were the results, she talks over me to introduce herself and ignores my question. At this point I feel like Iu2019m about to pass out bc of my pressure in my head. She says you didnu2019t come positive for either Covid or the flu so Iu2019m just going to give you come cough meds. She also informed me that it could be too soon to test and they could be false negatives. I said okay instead of the cough meds can I please have something else Iu2019m in so much pain, she then proceeds to tell me that thereu2019s nothing else she can do bc I didnu2019t come back positive for anything. Keep in mind she didnu2019t check my neck, or my throat. All she checked way my lungs and my ears . I left this place not feeling cared for a rushed out. I asked for some type of antibiotic or z pack and she said no. A month ago I came in bc I was sick and had a really bad cough like I have now and got all the meds I could need. Antibiotics , steroids, inhaler. Fast forward to about 3:30pm Iu2019m profusely sweating and have a fever of 101.8. The aches and pains feel like Iu2019m getting ran over. Iu2019m even more dizzy than I was before and my cough is terrible. Iu2019m over it and will not be back.UPDATE: came back positive for FLU AIf my illness gets worse my parents have been notified of the situation and legal action will be taken and Iu2019m already notifying the BBB and Louisianas health services

Would give this place 6 stars if possible. Emily Knight (nurse practitioner) and Jordyn are so incredibly kind and helpful. Emily was very thorough, making sure to run all tests to be sure to get to the bottom of my illness. Coming from somebody that has a lot of medical history and trauma with past doctors, I was blown away by the quality in patient care and all around kindness.

Iu2019ve been to Maxem at least 4 times in the past two years. The first 3 was everything I needed from an urgent care, tests/results easy treatment. Decent dialogue in between, just like going to see my Physician.My 4th and last time was bad, took three tests waited twenty minutes for NP u201cKarenu201d to come. Couldnu2019t engage in conversation, interrupted and rolled her eyes through our brief engagement. At one point I just started laughing because I could tell she was trying her hardest to find anything she could say to interrupt me. Tried to prescribe me 3 different things unrelated to visit.If you want a nurse practitioner who is unprofessional go see karenI will not come back, and will tell everyone I know to not go as well, especially when np Karen is there.

Would not recommend! New Years Eve, waited 20 minutes in parking lot to ensure we were seen first for my two little ones who were sick, filled out paperwork, in lobby with other patients and clerk told us she was closing because the doctor was refusing to come in. I had never experienced this before. Completely unprofessional and incompetent staff.

Took my son because he wasn't feeling well and there is a lot going around so I wanted to get him checked out. When they took us back the medical assistant took his weight, brought us over to check his height, had to refer to a chart to tell us he was 5'6, then she took 3 nose swabs. Took his blood pressure & said it was high, but he wasn't even seated with his feet on the floor, so I'm sure that played a part. Anyways, we wait the 10mins for the tests & when the Dr comes in the o ly thing she does is hand me a paper and say everything was negative. The doctor never once introduced herself, not to mention, she never even looked at him, listened to his chest, looked in his nose, at his throat, NOTHING! I WILL NEVER RETURN AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW NEVER GOES EITHER.
