I brought my son in to be seen, we did have a scheduled appointment. The lady at the front, Corinthian, was very rude. She would ask a question and wouldn't even let me finish before she cut me off to ask another question. She was full of impatience and irritability. Esp when I asked her which question she'd like me to answer first. She turned to the lady next to her and asked her to please check my son in. I gladly moved over to the new lady, she was much nicer. I looked at Corinthian and told her I she has a better day.

My boyfriend was seen here on Saturday, April 12th by one of the ARPN on site. He was I believe billed incorrectly but nonetheless, my gripe is with the staff and their u201cprofessionalismu201d and lack of knowledge regarding hippa and how to speak to patients. I had to call when he got back to inquire about why he wasnu2019t given an antibiotic considering what was coming out of him and heu2019s been sick for over ten days which normally after this long, warrants antibiotics. I spoke with Yury , or that was the name given to me. Myself and my bf who was the patient called when he returned home only for her to not speak with me. She kept throwing hippa out there saying she canu2019t and she needs to be educated that hippa in fact does allow verbal consent, not authorization from a patient for their PHI to be released. He barely had a voice, he kept saying he gave consent and we were both literally standing next to each other and this representative clearly just didnu2019t want to help. You can tell when someone has an attitude and the mentality that they just made their mind up to not help you- this is the care we received on that call. In all of Advent he has my listed as a name on his forms, and verbal consent IS allowed. She was even hesitant to give me her name and I have no idea if thatu2019s even her real name , who knows, but the professionalism on her behalf was beyond sub par. As a fellow healthcare worker I would never in my right mind speak to a patient with an attitude like that and I would also not give wrong info as I am educated in HIPPA compliance. Advent needs to reevaluate their employees and education in order to actually assist in proper patient care.

I have the flu and a severe sore throat. Went to Urgent Care this morning to check for superimposed strep. Imani was my nurse and she was gentle and compassionate. She would receive 5 stars. The cleanliness and availability to be seen at 8am on a weekend is also deserving of 5 stars. My experience otherwise was not a positive one.nnRECEPTION: Throughout my check in process, the woman working with me was singing along to the radio in Spanish. While she was polite, it was unprofessional. When someone is so ill they can barely stand up at the counter, care and compassion are better received. A simple, u201cIu2019m sorry you are here and not feeling wellu201d would go a long way. Would recommend additional training regarding first impressions.nnPRICING: I am self pay and feel that $320 is steep for less than 5 minutes with the physician. Especially when a school physician is $59 there and they actually review and examine you. I am a physician and we offer 50% discounts to self pay patients.nnPHYSICIAN: The physician glanced in my throat from far away and said it u201clooked fineu201d despite having very red/enlarged streaks. It was obvious that he was relying on the negative strep test rather than performing a proper exam. I told him I canu2019t swallow due to razor-blade type pain despite trying lozenges, salt water gargling, Tylenol, Motrin, honey, chloraseptic, and popsicles. The only thing he offered was a steroid pack and to avoid irritating food/drinks. I advised that I couldnu2019t even swallow saliva, let alone eat or drink something irritating. Luckily I was able to call in my own viscous lidocaine to anesthetize the area and receive some relief. Finally, the first thing we learn in medical school is to never document something we didnu2019t do. The standard respiratory rate of most well people is 12-20 breaths per minute. They documented mine to be 20. I always catch people falsifying vitals with this one because my respiration rate is always 6-8 due to being trained in deep diaphragmatic breathing. Disappointing to see they just wanted to click a box. He obviously didnu2019t know I was a physician colleague and would catch this but he should do the right regardless of the patient.

Came in for hip painu2026 had a reservation. They still took walk-ins ahead of me. No they werenu2019t in need of being seen sooner. As such, my 12:00 reservation turned into being called back at 12:35. Only to be told they donu2019t have an X-ray tech and they will have to send me somewhere else to have the X-ray, then that place will call the doctor here and then when they have time will call me. HUH??? That is such a delay in service. They should have informed me when I checked in that they are not providing full services at this time. I would have gone somewhere else. They ask you to sign consents for treatment but donu2019t give you them to read ahead of timeu2014 when I asked about that I was told u201ctheyu2019re over there on the counter u201c. Maybe you should have said that BEFORE you ask people to sign legal documents. Advent has definitely declined

I made an appointment at around 9am to be seen just an hour later, on a Sunday, and my entire experience was just wonderful! From the front door to everyone that helped with what I believed to be an ear infection, they were absolutely amazing! Thanks a lot for helping me with my problem, and thanks for you all being so nice, polite and knowledgeable!!!
