I was very shocked to see such a low rating for this hospital. They seem to be a tenant to my sister while she was there. I wasnu2019t there every day though, but my sister-in-law went times when I couldnu2019t. There was no foul holders when I came in, she was clean and dry. And whenever I will call to Get report, I was able to get through to the nurses Manner

This is the second time I came to Franciscan hospital from 8111 Madison Ave, Southside, Indianapolis for sickness via ER on 3/28/25.nALL the staffs from ER are like working in 5 star hotel; neat, kind, professional, There were no people when I came at 11am. So the waiting was a very short period.nI was admitted at C463. I met with an angel nurse, Sarah ( she is beautiful inside out). Very caring above and beyond. The NAssistant has a caring heart but quite naive!nThe next day, another two angel, nurse Katy took care of me and put me in the most comfortable ways. I was bit blurry so I got confused with her assistant Emily.nNight time came, and a nightmare!!!!!nThe Nurse Assistant, Danielle is the worse.nBesides I had too many problems. The nurse is a little bit knowledgeable but both of them happened to have cold hearts. At one point I called twice but no one showed up so I got up and went to the counter for help while shivering from my illness. It happened that the Nurse lead seems to be the same kind of person dismissive towards my pain saying she could do nothing about it. Danielle was mad at me that I called her to come to my room for helpu2026u2026 Indeed whatu2019s the point of keeping these NAs? I donu2019t see their helpfulness. Their only job is to pick up the call. I have enough energy by tonight to be able to speak, they could never hear what I said unlike the previous night when my BP was 80/60 they could hear me so well. Very sad. I just cried and cried feeling helpless and abandoned. The team were rude, unkind, uncaring and they are at where they are not supposed to be. I was waiting for the dawnu2026. And at 8am here came another two angels, nurse Katy from yesterday and NA, Lindsey, kind, polite, caring beyond wordsu2026. I was overjoyed to see themud83dude0a They made me feel so much better from my illness!!

I hope this hospital is investigated particularly the heart section. My grandfather passed away from toxicity to his lungs that was in a medication given to him during his triple bypass surgery. He was perfectly well out of surgery, the staff continuously allowed him not to get out of bed and not doing any of his physical therapy, he went days on end without being bathed, a member of the staff told us that was completely unacceptable and we needed to monitor that better. They also continuously put a breathing machine on him without proper sedation to keep him calm- it was cruel and hideous. The worst was his final night, I donu2019t remember her name but I will forever remember her hateful and completely inappropriate attitude. We were told by another staff member her bedside manners were inappropriate and abrupt. She was demanding an answer for dnr without allowing my grandmother to even think, she told me to u201cplease go ahead and google giving an intubated patient a bathu201d while grabbing my arm, I had to be taken out of the room because I couldnu2019t stand to be near her. She was absolutely horrible and thatu2019s no way to spend your last night with your grandfather. My grandmother was insistent he be resuscitated and she continuously told her it would be traumatic and cruel to resuscitate him. My grandmothers wishes should have been honored without question.

I followed my sister for her OB appointment today and everyone in that hospital has bad attitude. I feel like we weren't even welcome. My sister had some questions and we asked the assistant and she answered us very rude. Asking us why we have questions and stuff and her voice and attitude was so bad. Everyone there have bad attitude and its not welcoming environment.

Patient:93 year old mother, emergency care was 5 star, MRI, CR Scans, they diagnosed the issue,nADMITTED. Oncologist was 5 Star. We knew we werenu2019t going to treat the cancer so weu2019re aware that the treatment time at Franciscan would be short.nProblem: The case worker was a WACK JOB. She determined that my Mom would go to rehab at Altenheim. I knew it was our choice as to where she would go. Her Medicare Supplement had to NO pre certification requirements. They FOUGHT us tooth and nail. In the end we won. She went to the rehab of her choosing. . . Makes me think they have something going with Altenheim. RUDE CASEWORKER, RUDE SUPERVISOR, This hospital is NOT the St. Francis it used to be. RUN, RUN from this hospital. Weu2019ve been St. Francis people for years. We will never be treated again at those hospital.
