The process for getting seen was quick and easy via online. I was able to book my appointment and upload information 1 hour before the time I wanted to be seen. It worked out, the staff are so kind especially if youu2019re anxious like me and once the Dr is able to see you, itu2019s quick and painless. If your insurance covers it, I recommend you use their onsite pharmacy - it was super convenient. Will come back here again if I am unwell.

I highly recommend avoiding Getwell Urgent Care in Macomb. Two months ago, I took my wife there for lower back pain. After calling ahead and confirming they were accepting appointments, we arrived, provided our insurance and ID, and were seen by a lady who seemed to be a doctor (but turned out to be a nurse practitioner). She didnu2019t order an X-ray for the back pain, instead suspecting a UTI and taking a urine sample. The lab results later showed no UTI, but during the wait, my wife suffered anxiety and continued pain.nnWe couldnu2019t get the prescribed medications the same day because the pharmacy was closed, and when we followed up, they kept saying the lab results werenu2019t ready. After three days, we found the results in our app, and the clinic confirmed no UTI. To make matters worse, we received a $375 bill from our insurance company because the nurse practitioner wasnu2019t in-network, which was never disclosed to us. After contacting the clinic, they offered a $100 discount, but we were still left to pay $250.nnAdditionally, we found charges for unnecessary procedures, like a pregnancy test, even though my wife had no concerns about pregnancy. The clinic claimed it was a u201croutineu201d procedure, but this seems highly questionable. They also failed to provide the lab results via email as promised. Overall, poor care, poor communication, and hidden costs make this place one to avoid.

I took my husband to this Urgent Care because he cut his finger and needed assistance quickly. I have had a great experience with this clinic in the past, however that wasnu2019t the case this time.nnWhen we arrived, I asked the desk clerk if my husband could be seen pretty quickly and she told me there was 2 people ahead of him with zero sense of urgency. The people sitting there didnu2019t seem to have an urgent matter.nnWhen I made mention of going to the ER it seems the clerk took this personal because she stated u201cI mean you can try but it will be 6-8 hoursu201d. It seems as though she may need additional training in how to respond. I may not understand what Urgent Care means but I assumed it meant he would be moved to u201curgentu201d status. He indicated that he couldnu2019t feel his finger which seems like it would take priority. The lack of empathy is a turn off.

Front desk person who checked me in didn't smile one time. She was nice but a smile would have been good too. The Nurse practioner was nice and said I have what everyone else has. Wish I knew what that was. They sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. I called back a few hours later and asked of they could switch them to the pharmacy I asked them to send them to in the first place. Needless to say that did not happen so I had to pick up my scripts today at the wrong pharmacy. I was a little disappointed.
